Cant see upgradin backup center is worth a 1st, and imo how good of a rimprotector is poetl?

Mavs cant sen out the 1st for not a real upgrade until everyone is back and they know where they stand this season. If luka have backlash and is out rest of season mavs are better off keeping the pick

pretty sure this is illegal for dallas. leave out Olynyk and powell/exum. would also make it toronto receive better of DAL/CLE 1st so if they someone end up in 10th we dont end up with nothing

yeah Dallas is hard capped at the first apron so they cannot make the deal in the OP. godaddy's edit solves that issue but makes Dallas even thinner and they pay to get there. I doubt Poeltl moves the needle enough to justify that.

If the Dallas pick doesn’t convey, Toronto gets the Cleveland first? To me there’s like a 5-10% chance Dallas is ending the season with Luka in street clothes and tanking, so some clarity on the pick is needed..

I think Poeltl is worth more than Gafford, and Kelly more than Maxi. Feels like Toronto is owed more honestly. But wouldn’t lower the protections on that pick.

Doesn’t kill the trade but Dallas needs to send out another about 2.5-3 million just to be able to sign a couple rest of season contracts and make the trade/roster legal.

Which means you probably need to move on from Grimes as part of this. Maybe you find a useful bench guard on a minimum contract somewhere to help out or dream of a buy out?

And Toronto gets whatever amount of 2nds Grimes is worth?
