So the only way I see it is if Curry asks to be traded because GSW refuses to add talent to go on another run or two.

But without spending much time on it, LAL figures out a way to match his contract so the opening bid is every piece of value LAL can offer?

Maybe Presti figures out how to match if LAL is not willing to pay enough..

Ignoring whether Curry would leave or not, to pry him from Golden State it probably starts with 150% of the Mikal Bridges return.

At least 5 first round picks, a few swaps and some decent young players.

He’ll be 37.5 to start next season with 2 year, $122 million left on his deal. The Warriors will try to load up this off-season for one final run next season but reality is they should deal him this summer to maximize the haul.

Realistically two extra late 1sts aren't making any major difference for the upcoming rebuild. GS might as well just keep him unless he strongly wants out.

While Curry's still very good he's getting older and declining. Pretty soon - perhaps next season, almost certainly 2026-7 he'll be in 'retirement tour level' play. Where he's not close to having the on-court value to match his contract making him not worth trading for by a win-now team (but would have enough off-court value - especially to GS - to easily be worth his contract so GS would have no motivation to deal him).
