Brogdon and Valinciunas to Lakers: Lakers/Wizards/Pistons

Post#1 » by Bentley1225 » Fri Jan 31, 2025 8:36 pm

Ill offert his idea for
-Lakers to add a veteran guard and centre who both can potentially start
-Washington cashes out on veterans by getting back a 1st

To Los Angeles (Trade Vincent, Vanderbilt, Christie, Schifino, 1st)
-Malcolm Brogdon (1 year, $22.5 million)
-Jonas Valinciunas (3 years, $30 million)
-2026 Phoenix 2nd round pick via Washington
-2027 Phoenix 2nd round pick via Washington
-2029 Milwaukee 2nd round pick via Detroit

To Washington (Trade Brogdon, Valinciunas, 2nds, waive Baldwin)
-Gabe Vincent (2 years, $22.5 million)
-Jared Vanderbilt (4 years, $48 million)
-Jaled Hood Schifino (1 year, $3.9 million)
-2029 Lakers 1st round pick (some form of protection)

To Detroit (Trade 2nd)
-Max Christie (4 years, $32 million)

Why?
-The Lakers get back 2 viable starters for rotational pieces at the expenses of a 1st for 3 2nds. Lakers can add 2 minimum players to replenish depth.
-The WIzards cash out of 2 veterans as they look to keep accumalating picks for rebuilding
-Detroit adds a young guard to cap space for a distant 2nd

I'd do it for Detroit. I like Christie.

Lakers not trading Any of their starting 5 players (Maybe If It's that 3rd star, but still don't see It)... Rui Is starting by the default because Vando been Injured etc.

Max Christie Is an up n coming rising star (heard It hear first) only 21/2 years old, he plays both ends of the floor and his shooting around 40% from 3 roughly.

Lakers are not going to be trading Vando either, fan favourite and Lakers also like him.
Not only that Lakers have to give up a 1st for two 32 year olds? No thanks.

Lakers need to stay away from any Was players including my boy King Kuzma, called him that ever since he pushed Bron to play defense LOL.

Absolutely disgusting

Christie isn’t being moved unless we’re getting an elite defender back or in a trade for a legit all star

We need a defensive minded C

Only offensive C I would consider is Vuc, but not my first choice

Val let us score like 80 points the other day in the 1st half without AD

I mean, pistons appears to kinda steal value here. Lakers also should not be trading 2029 unless it's in a deal for a mega talent.

Sure. Just verifying that I would, in fact, be willing to steal that value.

I mean the Pistons might be compelled to add 2 2nds for Christie in conjunction with Lakers putting lottery protection on that 2029 pick or extinguished

I wouldn’t do it for Detroit. I don’t like Christie’s game and don’t see the appeal, plus $8m per isn’t great.

What is there not to like honestly? He doesn’t really have any glaring holes when you’re talking “high end role player” expectations
