Think this goes with my prediction that dumping money is going to be dirt cheap this deadline

It's less about limits, and more about the fact the new CBA would have a tight chokehold on the team's chances. Basically, he has no issues with spending, but doesn't mean he spends stupidly.
I have little doubt that with the old CBA, George would have been offered the max.
Thank god that addition by subtraction happened tho
I would have thought the Clippers could have easily used Tucker + Mann and/or Bones + that 2nd and went and got another good player. The players are irrelevant the Clippers ducked the tux here. Maybe it pays off in the buyout market, or maybe Balmer saves a few bucks for a year?
And I do think it was a solid move btw. Just saying, Balmer of the past goes and gets another contributor for a playoff run.
If they just traded a SRP for say Ben Simmons or Brogdon (buyout possibilities) epic win
Numbers don't lie, people who use them do

They’re all basically expiring contracts and it’s a prorated amount of $8.6 (?) million. It’ll be interesting to see how much non expirings/cap ducking trades cost

This Ainge kid.... he knows his stuff.
I mean, saving what $6.6M is worth more than a single SRP in my opinion.
Important note is that because the Los Angeles Clippers have played 48 games, 58.5% of the salary is already paid by the Los Angeles Clippers. Utah will functionally be paying the remainder of the $6.6MM, which grades out to buying the Second Round Draft Pick for just under $2.74MM.
For the Los Angeles Clippers, dropping the $6.6MM is incredibly important for dodging out of the Luxury-Tax, but for Utah, it is not a substantial financial investment at all. It is a pretty standard win-win trade.

All true, but doesn't really touch on the theoretical, was Eubanks himself positive value? Would LAC prefer if it was the same deal but Eubanks to a third team and the more cap space? (And same for Utah, was getting off Eubanks positive value or negative value?)
