Spurs Trade:
Chris Paul
Harrison Barnes
Spurs Get:
Dennis Schroder
Buddy Hield
Kyle Anderson
GSW 2nd round pick 2025, Miami 2nd Round pick 2025
Why?
Soft tank this year. Acquire picks. Get Slo-Mo back. Hield adds spacing. They no longer need CP3 with the Fox addition.
Warriors Trade:
Dennis Schroder
Buddy Hield
Kyle Anderson
GSW 2nd round pick 2025, Miami 2nd Round pick 2025
Warriors get:
Chris Paul
Harrison Barnes
Why?
They bring back two former Warriors to try to compete this year. CP3 is a big upgrade at a position of need, he knows the system, and was very good last season.
Harrison Barnes adds spacing, size and veteran experience.

Re: SA-GS
If the Spurs didn't actually want Schroeder (and I don't know why they would), they could flip him DET for a meh SRP with no salary coming back
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Not a chance the Spurs do this.

Re: SA-GS
Doesn’t do much for the Warriors. CP3 really doesn’t play the way GS is trying to play now, which is pushing the ball/tempo. Barnes isn’t much outside of someone you trade the GS expiring contracts for in order to maintain that salary space for trade

Re: SA-GS
I think CP3 and Barnes would be worthwhile additions for many teams, but not the Warriors. It was proven last season that CP3 doesn't really fit their system, and both Barnes and himself have a history there where there may be some potential issues. I don't think either team does it.
Also, it should be noted that both of them are very much appreciated on the Spurs, and they won't make a move that could disrupt team chemistry for one crappy second rounder. I think they stay unless they're required in a larger package that nets the Spurs a very substantial return.

Schroeder deal can't be combined with other contracts
