What's the point of trading for Butler without KD? Suns don't get any better.

I actually think the deal would make the Suns better.

Let's say they do, are they suddenly contenders with a Beal/Booker/Butler trio?

I guess it makes sense if you really covet Kuminga and the Warriors first.

I'm not sure Golden State is legally allowed to trade him again so soon

Heard he's eligible the day of the deadline

They aren’t good now. This kind of move allows them to churn roster a little bit and gain assets and some youth. The Suns are in desperate need of more athleticism and Kuminga helps with that. Really can’t be any worse than it is right now given the talent on the roster. Have to make a change and moving KD makes the most sense by far.

He can be traded right now. He can be aggregated tomorrow and deadline day.

Are you sure?

There are some rumblings of a Durant to GS, Butler to PHX and Wiggins to Heat trade

Yeah, I've heard Miami might be open to longer deals now. I would personally love to add her and Schroeder to the team

I think this will be the deal:

Suns get Butler, Kuminga, Val
Heat get Wiggins, Schroeder, GP2
GSW get Durant, vet mins
Wiz get Nurkic

Obviously need to add picks but I think Miami will be happy with Wiggins with cap space on top. An expiring $23m is great with Schroder and GP2.

I’m not sure why the Suns are trading for Jimmy if they’re losing KD. Or why Butler wants to go there if KD is outgoing.
