The Lakers are over the first apron, which means they can't sign any buyout player whose pre-buyout salary was larger than the MLE (around $12 million)

They can get under if they really want to.

They're currently about $9M over the first apron, which means they'd need to clear about $11M in salary to sign a buyout guy and stay under the first apron.

Unless they can find someone to take Vincent or Kleber for free (unlikely), or they move Reaves for a deal with little to no salary coming back, I don't see how they can.

I didn’t think Bruce get his contract either. But always possible a team willing to overpay for a short term deal.

I could see a team giving a Simmons a one year ballon deal on his upside.

Can a team sign more than one player on the buyout market? Clippers look to be big fish in this seasons sweepstakes. They could really use Simmons, but if Lonzo is on the market, the Clippers are idiots to not snap him up, especially after the LaMar comments.
