Maybe they get enough add ones to prove me wrong but Christ it seems like PHX has gotten so tunnel visioned on Jimmy they lost the plot of getting him to be their third best player not their second.

Heat receive: Andrew Wiggins, Dennis Schroder, GP II, Kevin Looney, Cavs/Wolves worst 25&27 1sts

Suns receive: Jimmy Butler, GSW 25&27 1sts

Warriors receive: Kevin Durant and Kevin Love

Wizards get: Josh Richardson and 25 Denver second

It could be something like this

I'm not saying we won't see a deal like this, but I just find it unfathomable that Riley would allow Miami to become the facilitator in a deal moving stars to places while Miami takes (relative) fodder back. But, hey, there is a 1st time for everything.

I would also point out that it seems pointless for Phoenix to downgrade from Durant to Butler. It only makes sense to deal Durant if you can get multiple pieces back and THEN add Butler. But that requires Phoenix sending out multiple contracts -- aka a taker for Beal and, possibly for Nurkic -- and they can't because they're a 2nd apron team.

I think this is close, but don’t see Miami pulling two firsts. Not if they also get Wiggins. If you want to trade Wiggins for a first, go ahead?

And think Phoenix is owed whatever value Kuminga has to whatever fifth team.

So Miami can get one first and Phoenix ends up getting 3 firsts, but one really just is a swap.

That's my thought, too. Wiggins and a first feels like a haul at this point

Honestly? Give me Wiggins and Schroeder over KD. No, I'm not insane, but KD is 36 and I just see us treading water with him, no depth, and what little draft capital we have, gone.

I think if Miami can wrestle a first, Schroeder, and Wiggins, that's probably the right play.

Eh, if I were a Heat fan I'd trade the chance to see KD play for a couple of years for a late 1st, Wiggins, and Schroeder. And maybe Spo figures out a way to revitalize KD.

Feels like Phoenix has finally exhausted all their options to get him there. With the KD portion of this dead, what avenue is there left to them? I'm skeptical that Golden State is gonna offer much of anything when Butler flat out said he wouldn't sign an extension there.

We're going to have to give up more than a late first. We're going to have to give up two firsts of our own and two prospects we love, possibly three. They're going to try and take everything, not that I blame them.

To be fair, exhausting what's left of their assets just so they can add an overpaid 35-year-old to a bad team that's already too old and slow to compete is a terrible idea in general. Doesn't matter whether he's the second or third option. A well-run franchise would have never let things get to this point.

Apparently, Ishibia told Durant he wouldn't be traded, but Golden State is still after Jimmy.
