Finish the Bucks Deadline
Feels like the Kuzma deal is a precursor to another move.
Bucks got under the 2nd Apron with the Kuzma trade. This opens them up to aggregate salaries in another deal.
Remaining Assets:
Brook Lopez 1/23m
Bobby Portis 1/12.5m + (13.5 PO)
Pat Connaughton 1/9.5m + (9.5m PO)
MarJon Beauchamp 1/2.7m
2031 FRP
What can they expect with a combination of those assets? Looks like an athletic big and wing Defender are needs.

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
Dallas has apron issues of their own, but if Dallas could turn Gafford/Marshall into BroLo, I'm down with that.

I really like this for Milwaukee. Bucks could go huge or go small with Giannis, Kuz, Naji.
I think that there's also probably some pressure to make the team younger, and split into more tradable assets. This accomplishes that.
With Martin does that make Naji expendable? I was thinking PJ more so. Do you envision PJ playing SF in a huge starting lineup?

Is that more to get Brook or get rid of one of them? That seems like a Win/Win deal

Yes, I think PG gets a nominal start at SF. For now AD will move to center 5-6 minutes into the first and third quarters when Gafford checks out and PJ slides up. Until Lively is back, AD is mostly going to be a center and PJ is mostly going to be a 4 anyway.
But I think the team has little interest in trading PJ. Of course I would have said that about Luka so...

To get Brook. No interest in dumping either, but with Martin/Christie in and Exum playing again, I think a Marshall loss could be overcome. And I like Brook more than Gafford next to AD.

No idea how to make Chucks idea legal without Klay, but do like the target.

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
If GSW is trading for Butler, try to get Connaughton+???? for any 1 of Looney, Moody or Buddy done. I really don’t know what Milwaukee has to add though? And those guys aren’t very valuable, but more so than Connaughton..
I think you trade Portis and figure out Brolo’s replacement next year. Dangerous yeah.. but feel like Portis might have some value and it can be broken up into needs now that they’re under the second apron..

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
This is probably bad for Chicago, but I can't figure out to balance it without adding the Bucks '31 and I don't think the Bucks' return is worth that. Does the concept work?
Bucks Out: Connaughton, Portis, Beauchamp, '25 PHX 2nd, '28 & '30 Swaps (both picks already swapped w/ other teams)
Bucks In: K. Williams, Ayo Dosunmu, Jalen Smith
Bulls Out: Ayo Dosunmu, Jalen Smith
Bulls In: Connaughton, Beauchamp, '26 Thunder 1st (LP, then '26 2nd), '25 PHX 2nd, '28 & '30 Swaps
Thunder Out: K. Williams, '26 1st (LP, then '26 2nd)
Thunder In: Portis

Think Presti cuts Milwaukee out here very quickly. Those two are such good fits for what OKC “needs” .. and then Chicago doesn’t need to pay Connaughton.. probably use Dieng/Jones as the salary to add more value to Chicago..
The first needs to be broken down more as Presti has the two best of 4 potential teams..

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
Does Portland want to get out of Grant's deal?
Brook + Pat + 2025 SRP for Grant + Reath
Bucks seem desperate for athletisicm. Flipping older Midds and Brook for younger Kuzma and Grant certainly helps. Having multiple big forwards is also a path to turn Giannis into a full time C.

I think they are done tbh..
They dropped under the 2nd so they could get a buyout player I imagine

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
Trying Chucks trade?
Connaughton, Prosper to “Washington”
Lopez, Gill, Sidy to Dallas
Klay, Gafford to Milwaukee
Any vet mins really work. And it opens enough room under apron for Dallas to hopefully sign a buy out guard..
A lot worse for Milwaukee with Klay in place of Naji but Klay would look great there.. no idea how to fix the value

Re: Finish the Bucks Deadline
This is a small deal.
Tyler Smith to Portland
Dalano Banton to Milwaukee
Bucks get some scoring at the guard position. Blazers get to swing at a young PF.
