What's up with Claxton this year? His shotblocking has fallen off a cliff. The 2+ bpg claxton is a lot more appealing than 1.4. That's only a minor upgrade from duren in that rim protection range and a downgrade in a lot of other areas.

He's been dealing with something, nobody knows what, there was a serious lack of focus in his play early on, it's gotten back to normal lately which (coupled with an easier schedule) has had the Nets defense on the rise...

Really dont know who lakers will go for tho, but it better be a great fit on his timeline. But atm im not sure they have to worry about that. Bigger issue is how they get luka to enjoy playing basketball in LA. I dont see lebron giving up the ballhandling duty like kyrie did to get them to mesh. And dont think he likes that pelinka colluded with nico to get him moved

I think the Knicks would happily trade Robinson for the 31 1st. They would strongly consider something built around Dalton Kenecht.

How about this 3 way trade:

Lakers: Mitchell Robinson
Toronto: Dalton Kenecht, Maxi Kleber
NYK: Obajai Abachi, LAL 26 Swap (top-4 protected), 2032 LA 2nd

Lakers get a C who fits nicely with Luka while saving their pick. Toronto gets 2 extra years of rookie control. NY gets another 3 and D wing while opening up room below the 2nd apron to utilize the taxpayer MLE.

They get a center for half the games. So still need a reliable center
