If not, people should know this.

And we definitely posted Sidery because everyone loves a rumor especially if it favors our favorite team, but we also demonstrated his lack of credibility, his habit of posting a bunch of stuff hoping it sticks and actually deleting old posts Chad Ford style to not have to acknowledge when he was wrong.

Doesn't mean KD won't return a king's ransom when he's dealt this summer, but its definitely not the proof being claimed either.

The issue imo with the Suns getting great value is they have basically openly stated he will be traded, they will never trade him somewhere he doesn't want to be, and having mortgaged their future as far as they have and being stuck with Beal, they almost have to go for a win now package which should lower the assets they receive.

Dallas is definitely one of the handful of teams that should be considered since he chose to play with Kyrie before plus with AD. And Dallas has attractive salary matching pieces for the Suns.

Of course Dallas isn't really a destination city so you have to look at Miami, plus we know of other teams who already expressed interest who might offer better chances for him to compete for a title.

But it won't be open bidding.

So just to clarify, are you saying that offer was not presented to the Suns?

It'll be a group 3-5 teams that he'll thumbs up. Let's say you guys, Miami, Houston conservatively.

Of those 3 teams, I think you have the worst collection of stuff to offer. By far. Going by OP's trade offer.

This isn't even including OKC and the Spurs both of whom I think could be in on him this summer if they don't win the title. I also can see Atlanta, MIL, NYC and even Boston+Denver all getting involved in talks if they don't win. Minnesota as well.

I’d rather get the two firsts for taking on Beal than offer more value than the OP for KD.

I don't believe Houston is in the mix for KD, are they going to try to win the championship next year? By giving up picks that smell like a high lottery, for a 37-year-old KD, who is a decade ahead of his timeline?... In my mind it's a race between the Heat and the Mavs.. KD has also talked about wanting to be the owner of his destiny and that was one of the reasons for not wanting to leave at the deadline... with one year to go I think the Suns' leverage is very limited (he could wait to become a free agent too) and I think he learned the lesson that if a team pays too much for him, it takes away their chance to win... As a reference we should look at the Butler trade who is 2 years younger and has had fewer serious injuries.. The Warriors paid Wiggins (I value him at 1 FRP) + Filler and 1 FRP... Would I say KD is 2 FRP more valuable than Butler (being generous)?.. Washington is at least as valuable as Wiggins (younger, cheaper) + Gafford (easily worth a protected FRP) + filler and 2 FRP (Lakers and Mavs 25) and the offer would be quite fair... how does Miami beat that?

Well I guess there's our problem. You are approaching this as a 2 horse race between you and another team.

I strongly disagree.

There will be considerably more teams looking to add KD if he hits the open market. If your stance is that the other 28 teams have no interest in adding him, then the trade makes more sense.

I feel you're wrong on that. Very wrong. Time will tell though as it always does.
