Clippers/Magic offseason

Post#1 » by Astaluego » Mon Mar 3, 2025 7:58 am

CLIPPERS
In:KCP
Out: Bogdan/Eubanks

The Clippers' biggest strength is their defense, here they get the best defender and in my opinion a better fit.. Since they have Powell who is a similar archetype to Bogdan

MAGIC
In: Bogdanovic/Eubanks
Out:KCP

Magic is a team with serious offensive problems.. they get the best shooter, offensive creator from the trade that also gives them economic flexibility since he is cheaper and has a TO in the 26/27 compared to KCP's PO.

Even with Bogdan struggling in LA thus far, I'm not sure that KCP is an upgrade, let alone to take on an extra $21M the following season. Clips definitely need incentive.

Also calling Bogdan redundant with Norm, while not considering the same with KCP and Dunn/Jones is interesting.

Jones is SF, Dunn is PG, KCP is SG so its less redundant than Bog w/ Norm?

Dunn plays both guard spots, Jones can guard twos.

I mean, Lue has been, when healthy, starting Dunn at the two and Norm at the three.

AS much as I would like to get rid of KCPs contract, were not trading him for other teams trash. I predict if we trade him, he will be packaged with pick or young player for upgrade backcourt player.

I mean, if Bogdan is trash, wouldn't KCP be the same? If not worse? While Bogdanovic's shot isn't falling, I'd bet on that bouncing back before betting on Kentavious bouncing back to his defensive play. Then, you consider an extra year at nearly $22M.

Yeah, I'd happily keep the trash known as Bogdan before paying more to downgrade him .
