Looks like my Bulls are bound for another Playin spot. The Lavine trade has been good for us-Collins/Jones/Huerter are all playing well. I highly doubt the Bulls will tank next year-AKME want to win. I disagree, and would blow it up as much as possible, but this plan is based on them trying to win as many games as possible, while maintaining flexibility moving forward
1-draft Asa Newell at #10 (looks like he'll be around there)
Would love to add more size-Matas/Newell could be a REALLY nice forward tandem to move forward with, and they'd still have PWill and Phillips to back them up
2-Trade Vuc for Nurkic/#37
Char should try to win next year, and Vuc is an easy one year upgrade who's available to start when MWilliams is out hurt
3-Ayo to BRK for #26 pick
BRK could use a guy like him on his cheap deal, and they would start him next to Cam Thomas
4-Let Jones walk, or sign-and-trade him. He's been GREAT for us recently, but no reason to lock in to average players
5-Sign Giddey for 5 years, $130 million, player option on last year (IF he finishes the year well)
2025-26 Bulls
Giddey/Ball/Carter
White/Huerter
Matas/PWill/Terry
Newell/Phillips
Collins/Smith/Nurkic
Plus the #26/37/45 picks for depth
The good thing here is we'd have some nice young talent and A LOT of expiring deals (Collins/White/Huerter/Terry/Ball, Carter) to play with, and all of our picks plus the Port pick (which looks a bit more promising to convert by 2028 now). HOPEFULLY PWill shows some life
Chi is still a big market, high profile team. Any star that becomes available might want to join this crew.
Again, I'd rather deal White and go full on tank next season, but we won't-so I think this plan is best

Re: Bulls' Offseason Plan #1
If that's the plan, I'd like to see them take a chance on a struggling prospect (Barrett/Kuminga). I also think they need a good center in PnR to give Giddey a vertical threat. What would be the price for M. Williams? (If Maluach is no longer on the board) M. Williams for + Blazers FRP/J. Smith? Perhaps a Nurkic/Williams trade for Vuc/Smith + Blazers FRP? The board rated Jalen Green as one of the worst contracts. Would the Bulls take a risk by using White/Huerter or Lonzo?
Ultimately, take a chance on talented young players who could be available at an affordable price.

Are you resigning Giddey and for how much?
You seem to gloss over that but have him on the roster.

Green is interesting-would Hou deal him for Vuc (great back up for a year) and Coby?
Or we offer Ball/Vuc/Port pick for Green? Have Giddy/Coby/Green as main backcourt moving forward
Not sure if I would roll those dice, but the kid has a ton of talent
