Knicks - Kings - Thunder - Lakers

Post#1 » by NYG » Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:18 am

Los Angeles Lakers get:
Mitchell Robinson
Pacome Dadiet

-Gives: Maxi Kleber and Dalton Knecht

Why: The Lakers add a young piece in Dadiet and a defensive center that fills a major hole on their roster without losing any picks or swaps.

===

New York Knicks get:
Nikola Topic
Dalton Knecht
Jonas Valanciunas
Isaiah Joe
Aaron Wiggins
2026 Sacramento Kings Top 4 Protected First Round Draft Pick (Unprotected 2027)

-Gives: Mikal Bridges, Mitchell Robinson, Ariel Hukporti and Pacome Dadiet

Why: The Knicks convert some of their top heaviness into a lot of depth and a future 1st that should help keep their starters fresher.

===

Oklahoma City Thunder get:
DeMar DeRozan
Ariel Hukporti
2027 Unprotected San Antonio Spurs First Round Draft Pick (via Kings)

-Gives: Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins and Nikola Topic

Why: They consolidate some similar depth pieces into a scoring veteran and a future pick.

===

Sacramento Kings get:
Mikal Bridges
Maxi Kleber

-Gives: Jonas Valanciunas, DeMar DeRozan, 2026 Top 4 Protected 1st (Unprotected 2027) and 2027 Spurs 1st

Why: They add a nice fit into their line-up without losing any core pieces.

Seems like NY steals value and OKC takes a big hit. Also thinks robinson is way too injuryprone for what he makes to fit in lakers and what he would be asked to do there. Also feels like kings overpaying

Thoughts on the DDR fit aside... it feels way too expensive for OKC. I guess it depends on what you think of Nikola Topic though.

I have NY giving up the two best players in the deal... am I wrong in that assumption?

Maybe OKC should get the pick the Knicks are?

Which centers could the Lakers get without using a more useful player as filler and/or adding a 1st

I think 2 1sts for Mikal is fair for the Kings... how many picks do you have Mikal landing?

How many picks do you have the outgoing OKC players getting?

I think its definitely too rich for okc, but if they agreed to this I'd cut NY out and take that package for the kings.

Topic is high upside piece kings need and Wiggins is perfect fit in sac.

I would have to agree with this overall. Bridges is a really good player and all, but if you're going to go down the MORE guards route then go with a starting caliber (or what you would think he is) PG in Topic and the guys that will produce off the bench. Would need to rid themselves of Lavine/DDR, but that would be the best in any Sacramento scenario.

Good question... ...in a vacuum, maybe:

Wiggins
High end = 2 protected first round picks (e.g.; 2 lotto prot. frp)
Low end = 1 prot. frp and multiple seconds (e.g., top 10 protected frp, + 2 srp)

Joe
High end = 1 prot. frp and multiple seconds (e.g., top 10 protected frp, + 2 srp)
Low end = 4 second round picks

Topic = ??? I really don't know.

Thoughts?

Rather keep Mitch than downgrade at Center to bring in even more guards...just noticed the Mikal part lol, this would be a hard no for me and I suspect our FO.
