Never going to happen but . . .

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Fri Apr 18, 2025 12:13 pm

LeBron to Phoenix for Devin Booker as centerpiece of deal. Phoenix goes for it with LeBron, Durant, and Beal. LA gives up the final couple of years of arguably the GOAT for the younger star in Booker.

Won't happen because LeBron won't want to move, more fun to play with Luka and Bronny, but if he okayed it?

Phoenix is a poorly constructed team and a poorly run organization. They're restricted in what they can do because of the 2nd apron. Doncic is better than KD.

I just can't think of a single positive here.

(no way it will happen) but in the fantasy world, based on how the pieces fit, it would be LeBron to the Mavs to play alongside AD/KI and PJ/Gafford/Hardy/Klay and Lakers 29 to Lakers back.

Irving/Christie/LeBron/AD/Lively
B.Williams/Martín/Marshall/O-Max/Powell

The Lakers are reorganizing around Luka with younger guys he knows and getting their pick back for future trades.

Luka/Reaves/Klay/PJ/Gafford
Vincent/Knecht/DFS/Hachimura/Vandervilt
Old Mike Lorenzo

I'd argue that Booker is already as good as LeBron (who, while remarkable for a 40 yo has faded) and everybody but Nico cares about a huge age difference in trading stars.

LeBron has one, at most 2 years left before he retires. This isn't viable for Phoenix at all.
