From a Bucks perspective, if they think Giannis is getting antsy, you're hard pressed to find a better reset deal than a guaranteed #1 overall pick. I don't recall any team ever trading a top pick for an older star, and I don't believe we ever will.
Andrew Wiggins was picked #1 overall and traded to Minnesota for Kevin Love.

Andrew Wiggins was one of the weakest #1 picks. He's above Bennett and Bargs but not many others. Only #1 because Embiid had massive medical issues, no one believed Parker could play defense and the rest were also meh.
He had some hype going into the draft, but I agree that he wasn't a great #1 pick. I'm just pointing out that a #1 overall pick has been traded before for a vet player.
