KINGS
In: Harris/Ivey/Fontecchio
Out:Murray/Lavine
They get a young, high-potential prospect at a position of need, they take Lavine's contract off the books and sell Murray before paying him. They get Harris, who helps them stay competitive.
PISTONS
In: Murray/Lavine
Out: Ivey /Harris/Fontecchio
They fit their pieces better, you get a star to play alongside Cade (Lavine never played with a PG as good as Cade) and a 3D Big Wing that should fit perfectly
Cade/Lavine/Thompson/Murray/Duren
Schroeder/Sasser/Beasley/Holland/Stewart

Re: Kings/Pistons
Thoughts here - LaVine sucks, value is probably about right. But I don't really value Tobias or Fontecchio, and Ivey is coming off a terrible injury. Kings shouldnt be using Murray to take this kind of risk unless they are planning to tear it down and have more moves lined up.

Re: Kings/Pistons
Lavine is very good at what he does. But he doesn’t do much (score… and score), and he makes too much money for his role.
I know the Pistons need offense, not arguing otherwise. But we need it from a non-guard preferably, and we’re trying to cultivate this hard-nosed defensive identity. Putting a gaping hole in your defense is not the plan.
And yeah, I know Ivey isn’t a good defender, either. But there’s at least a chance he gets better. Lavine is who he is.
Lastly, if we’re going to commit to a second large salary (Cade’s second contract starts next year), it needs to be a really, really good fit. ZL’s scoring is a good fit — but playing SG is not, and the rest of his warts are not. This probably makes us better (factoring in Keegan), but not a contender, and we’re sort of stuck after this move.

Re: Kings/Pistons
No to Lavine, just because his contract kills any flexibility by itself. I'd rather see what Ivey can add next season for way less expense. And Harris is way too important to the current iteration of this team to throw in for less than a true all-star level player (Lavine has that one all-star nod but he's borderline there at best).

Re: Kings/Pistons
Seems the Pistons can never escape the LaVine trade proposals no matter what team's he on.

He isn't at a position of need. In fact I think Ivey and Monk are rather similar.
This isn't the trade where the kings should be moving Keegan. I like the idea of adding harris but it should be adding harris with Keegan still on the roster.

I can't think of anything y'all would have to offer that would make us want to send Tobias your way.
