Ok so someone’s gone unfortunately still not sure it’s Jrue though Brad loves him more than he loves his own children.

Kings for DDR?
The Mavs with Gafford/Martin + filler to a 3-team (Powell/Hardy)...
The Clippers? With Bogdan/DJJ/Eubanks
As a SAC fan, I’m very interested in Holiday all while knowing he’s on a negative value contract and will be 35 at the start of next season. He’s a terrific fit on paper next to LaVine and having more perimeter defense around Sabonis is never a bad thing.
I wonder if BOS would be interested in this trade…
Jrue Holiday
2026 BOS 1st (top 14 protected)
For
Malik Monk
Technically, the deal would need to be expanded to make it work for SAC, but BOS sheds $13.6 mil off their payroll during the 2025-26 season, $14.6 mil off their payroll during the 2026-27 season, and $15.6 mil off their payroll during the 2027-28 season. All while getting a player who is 8 years younger (he’ll be 27 at the start of next season) who can help them continue to win now and compete for a championship.

Re: Researching realistic Jrue Holiday Trades 2025 offseason
Obviously, the results of the lottery drawing will make clarity available to teams for their future plans. But, contingent on the results of the ping pong balls and who gets what pick, I could imagine Toronto wanting to move off of RJ Barret and get more professional in the lockerroom and wanting Jrue Holiday for that purpose.
My idea involves Boston, Brooklyn and Toronto
Boston trades Jrue Holiday and 2025 draft #28 pick and receives Ja'Kobe Walter
Brooklyn trades 55-protected 2027 2nd round pick and receives 2027 Raptors first and RJ Barrett
Toronto trades a 2027 first, RJ Barrett and Ja'Kobe Walter and receives Celtics #28 pick and Jrue Holiday
The Celtics need an inexpensive player on a rookie deal for the next couple of years. Raptors have three such players from last draft: Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamal Shead and Jon Mogbo. Celtics might be willing to take any of three so I put in Walter but it doesn't have to be him, could be one of the other guys. I think Toronto is fairly high on all three but I dont know the the Raptors preference.
For Brooklyn, they faciliate this deal to get a future first plus Barrett who is only 24 yrs old. Brooklyn could use RJ Barrett as starting level piece next year as their young team comes together. And, at the deadline or next offseason, they'd have a youngish vet on a big salary number they could use as a dollar-match if they want to try to acquire a big fish via trade.
Toronto has Barnes, Ingram, Dick and the piece they add in the lottery. Barrett is the odd man out. They add a first this year but send a 2 yrs out first to move on from Barrett and replace him in the lockerroom with Jrue.

I think rj is worth more. Jrue at this point is basically a salary dump
Somewhere trying not to offend Texas Chuck.

Yea, I may be incorrect about the Toronto side. My basic thesis for this trade is that Toronto would gladly swap RJ Barrett for Jrue Holiday right now. I think Masai got so much out of age 30s Kyle Lowry that'd he'd see Jrue providing the same value and I think some facets about Barrett are not a long term fit for the Raps.
But this calculus may be incorrect as regards the Raps intentions. However this is the basic premise.

Lowry was in TOR for his age 26-34 seasons
Jrue is 34, and is owed $100M for the next 3 seasons -- and he looks quite a bit like a 34 year old Lowry to me
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

I don’t think Monk is much of a positive value contract. A small shooting guard that is not a great shooter and poor defender. As a bench scorer, spark plug I think he could help and this trade definitely helps the Celtics get out of the second apron and gives them a path to reset the repeater tax, so that’s the value in it for them.
For Sac, Jrue has some good years left for sure but maybe not 3 so I can see viewing him as a negative contract . I think the 2026 first is too much here though. If they give up a first in a great draft then I’d expect them to be able to shed a lot more salary. If we expand the trade to include Keon Ellis then I think it’s better . How does that sit with you?
