Lakers/Magic/Trailblazers blockbuster!

Post#1 » by Airgordon00 » Tue May 6, 2025 12:05 am

Lakers in: KCP, Wendell Carter jr., Jonathan Isaac and 25th pick in the draft.

Magic in: Anfernee Simons, Austin reaves and Dorian finney smith.

Trailblazers in: Rui Hachimura, Cole Anthony and 16th pick in the draft.

Lakers get much needed defense and a late first in a deep draft.

Magic get what they have needed most “shooting”

Trailblazers get salary fillers and a first in a good draft.

Thoughts?

Thoughts are the Lakers give up 3 better players than they get and I don't have pick 25 remotely solving that. Magic get two shot creators and a very versatile 3&D forward for dirt cheap. Portland wouldn't really be needed here if Orlando could get Reaves and DFS they would stop there, but they are pilfering value away from LA too.

Just really rough for LA.

With LeBron being 57, I don't think the Lakers can lose Austin without another scorer/creator coming back. Not to mention WCjr and JI aren't exactly iron men. Then you get into value and Lakers downgrade (majorly) in favor of fit.

Honestly too good for Portland and bad for Lakers. I love it.

Yeah, this is way too good for Orlando, a little too good for Portland, and then naturally quite bad for the Lakers.
