Also, wouldn’t mind having Sasser back in Houston. Former cougar is solid and could be a career backup guard for Udoka.
Sasser to Houston. A second from Houston to Indy. Obi to Detroit.

Toppin is clueless on defense…
.

I would gently push back on this as too far in hyperbole. He’s not a good defender individually. But he understands how to play in a defensive concept and switch and recover concepts. Definitely not clueless, and he’s the kind of “not good defender” that can easily be game planned to fit into a system.

I would say he’s similar to Buddy Hield that he’s got the right attitude and energy to try hard. They’re not naturally good defenders, but you game plan well and they fit a system to be productive, and can even create massive defensive wins on individual nights as Buddy did last night for GS.

Think Detroit will be one of the teams calling Utah about Lauri. Not sure what Ainge would want back, but he would fit very well there.

Yeah his issue is not lack of effort, he is just awful. He is unplayable bad on defense and that's no hyperbole. The numbers backup what I am saying and you watch him enough to know it, so stop with this crap. He is bad.

Nobody is touching Lauri on that contract. He lost all his value. He will stay in Utah for the foreseeable future. Ainge **** up.

I watch him, so I know this is hyperbole.

He’s not good defensively. He’s not unplayable defensively. There’s a major difference. He just played 15 minutes of productive playoff basketball last night. His defense is not unplayable. Carlisle simply wouldn’t play him if that was the case.

He is in the 1 percentile in defensive estimated plus minus. Doesn't get much worse than that. He is arguably the worst defender that get minutes in the entire NBA. That's embarrassing and as unplayable as it get. Maybe you don't actually understand what you watch, I don't know.

Duren is terrible, and most Detroit fans have no idea how bad he is on defense for example.

Ah, you’re totally right. I totally forgot everything in basketball can be equated down to a simple mathematical formula and that’s all I need to ever look at. Got it. Thanks for learning me.

Yeah, I don’t think so. I’m not too worried about it. If he stays that’s fine, but I think Ainge will get plenty of calls about Lauri.

But knowing Ainge, he'll ask for 40 first round picks, a top prospect, expiring contracts, and a young all-star,

I mean…it is his job to maximize value. So I hope so.
