Completely agree.DeBlazerRiddem wrote:Frankly... Portland probably should really consider selling high on Deni. We aren't really pressed for time to get it done but we are too far from contending to utilize his bargain contract very well, by the time we might be looking good he will be up for an expensive extension that will nuke his value.
Of course, Portland management seems to think we are on the brink of a break-out next season and isn't looking to be bad for high lottery picks so I don't expect us to make that move, but I think when looking back (if we don't accomplish much for the duration of his contract) it may be seen as a missed opportunity.

Deni is on a great contract and could help a contending team balance their roster.
Blazers should sell him now, they don't need the value he provides.

This fully depends on what teams are willing to give for him. Many contenders don’t have high value picks, and Portland is looking for quality over quantity. I know very few Blazers fans unwilling to trade him for the right deal.

Re: Deni Avdija
Blazers aren’t even remotely considering this y’all don’t get fooled by these out of touch peeps.
He’s currently our number one option going forward and is the best contract in the league, with all star games looking very achievable. Y’all play way too much

He isn't the best contract in the league. Jokic/SGA/Giannis are all clearly better.

Not interested in picks and swaps 6 years out.
Exactly.
It is a pretty narrow field of teams that might be interested in Deni and have the assets to make it possible.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

But for a team which has one of those players and is looking to win a championship, he's easily more attainable than those 3.

Or San Antonio if the Spurs want to push to compete now.
