Hou sends JSmith and Lockdale, plus the rights to the #10 and a future pick (not sure which) to Dallas and Brooks to Miami
Hou gets AD
Miami sends #20 and Rozier to Dallas
Miami gets Brooks
Dallas sends AD to Hou
Dallas gets JSmith, Rozier, Lockdale, A10, #20 plus a future pick
Hous adds a PERFECT partner to Sengun up front
FVV/Reed
Green/Whitmore/Reed
Amen/Whitmore/Eason
AD/Eason
Sengun/Adams
That team could win the title, easily
Miami gets a "Heat Culture" type of guy, and saves a little $
Dallas rebuilds around Flagg/Lively/JSmith (great frontline) plus they add the #10 and #20 this year, and a future pick AND save $

Re: AD to Hou, with Miami
The Miami part is tough, (and least important). I know they said they aren't running it back, but not sure they want to invest even a late pick in a guy like Brooks without having been able to make a bigger add first. Maybe if they are sending Wiggins out as part of a KD deal?
Love the get for Houston if they believe they are close enough to contend with OKC/Denver and they believe their own propaganda on Green.
Hard for me on the Dallas part because I can't suspend my belief that Harrison simply won't deal AD period. But if he did, I don't love the return. I don't think its unfair so much as like everyone else I'd prefer one really valuable asset to several hope for the best.
But love the aggressiveness for the Rockets.

I think the deal is a 1st short IMO, preferably the 29 1st from DAL they own.
It's also flip Rozier and the pick to WAS for MArcus Smart.

Re: AD to Hou, with Miami
I think this ends up being too burdensome from a salary standpoint for Houston long term, I would propose the following
AD
for
Jalen Green
Jabari Smith
Jock Landale
#10
2029 pick compensation
Currently Houston has the best two of Hou, Phx and Dal. After deal, Houston would have best choice, Dallas second best, Phx worst.

Re: AD to Hou, with Miami
Problem with that switch is with AD gone, Dallas doesn't have the desperation to take on a guy like Green, so his value just goes poof other than as a one year tank commander.

Miami's going to pass. I don't see us trading for a backup to Wiggins when we have Highsmith and Jacquez to do that. And he doesn't even help our cap sheet. We save a little this upcoming year but we're on the hook another two years after. I'm just not seeing the value for us. Yeah, he's a dawg, but we have dawgs and we have far greater needs.

Re: AD to Hou, with Miami
Not sure what Dallas ultimately ends up doing, but if I were them I would go in on the rebuild and try to clear cap to add free agents right before Flaggs Max kicks in. Other than Lively, I don't love anyone on that roster as a long term complimentary piece to Flagg, so I would purge almost all of it.
This would entail
- Letting Irving walk, or SnT somewhere for expiring's and draft compensation
- Trade AD for guys with upside, and picks, like this deal.
- I think I would maybe try and get your pick back from CHA, maybe they would take Gafford for him prior to the AD trade, or flip #10 from this deal for it.
In this particular scenario, and I am not saying its the best deal out there because because I haven't considered others scenario, but my proposal is the type of approach in how I like my rebuilds.
- Draft someone like Fears
- Roll out Fears, Green, Flagg, Jabari, Lively.
- You could give Fears and Green high usage for a year or two, to see if they reach potential. (I have actually always wanted to see Green in a group that is actually traditionally built, with space and size/athleticism at the 5, I think part of his problem is our team is a terrible fit)
- The team probably wouldn't be very good due to a competitive West, and lack of depth, I'd prefer it that way to try and get 2 years of good draft picks.
- By year three, you should know what you have and what you need around Flagg, and you should have a good chunk of cap space to add veterans, before extensions kick in
- I am not assigning value to Green here, but his salary in this group doesn't hurt you, and you get a free look and gamble on his upside.
Maybe not that particular deal, but that is the type of approach I like.

AD is player I have never really considered as a target for the Rockets. Interesting, very interesting.

I can get behind an AD trade, but these seem light. Ya he's thirty and not the most durable, but he's a legit top 7-8 player in the league

Re: AD to Hou, with Miami
I don't think the spacing works between Amen, Sengun and AD. Yeah we do it with Adams, but we were bounced in the first round, and we did it at no cost or commitment. The cost for AD would be substantial and he has who knows how many healthy chances left so it's not a situation to play and tinker with.
If adding AD I think Sengun would have to be the main piece. I'm not sure if this is such an obvious move to make at the moment given AD puts you on a 3 year shot clock. if we could somehow spin this into AD and Booker (Sengun package for AD, Green/picks package for Booker) then it's interesting.
