I think the Bucks will make the best deal they can make. I don't think that will heavily involve win now pieces just because they don't control their picks. If they aren't good enough to compete with Giannis they aren't good enough to compete with lessor win now players so I still expect them to prioritize futures in a Giannis trade.

So again, if I'm the Pels I'm valuing the pick they own outright as post-Giannis. We can debate the value of that pick and I'm not saying its a premium asset. But look at the offers we have gotten the past 24 hours --they are horrific. The swap is different because of their own projections, but with a flat lottery, I'm not trading it for pick 28 or Sochan because having two shots to move up to a premium pick is nice to have and if it turns into nothing well I'm not upset at all about giving up 28 or Sochan.

I know you aren't saying those deals are acceptable, but you are somehow more bothered by me pointing out how bad those offers are than by the terrible offers themselves lol.
