Suns/Nets/76ers//Bulls
SUNS
In:PG
Out:Beal/Royce
They get a better fit and lower this year's payroll (+ declining Martin + Micic's options, saves them tons of money) in this scenario they stay and extend KD in the absence of premium offers
NETS
In:Beal/#3/Blazers FRP
Out: C.Johnson/Claxton/#8
(I'm guessing Beal would accept living in Brooklyn), move up in the Draft and get another future asset.
76ers
In:C.Johnson/Vuc/Cárter/#8
Out:PG/3
They reorganize until Joel recovers, they lower the payroll in the short and long term, they rejuvenate (Cam), while obtaining a good center (expiring) that keeps them afloat, until Embiid returns and they fulfill their draft debt with the Thunder, trying to avoid giving away a lottery pick.
BULLS
In: Claxton/Royce
Out: Vucevic/Carter/Blazers FRP
The Bulls continue their plan to convert veterans into younger players. Here they get a PnR partner for Giddey who is also an excellent defender who fits in very well.
and a veteran 3D to compete in a possible weakened East

Re: Suns/Nets/76ers//Bulls
If the Nets are sending out Cam, sending out Claxton and eating Beal's contract in exchange for the number three overall pick I could see them including some draft capital but not # 8 or even # 19 this year.
That Beal contract is something that stands in the way of their future plans.

I figured if they overpaid to get their own picks back, it's because they plan on using them (not competing). Beal only has 2 years left, his last PO, and while extremely overpaid, he's still an entry-level player (they could extend him, much cheaper next year). Worst case scenario, he expires a year before Claxton, and it even gives them future flexibility. Do you think the Nets are going to try to compete before then?

The Nets only got their picks back for 2025 and 2026.
Next Summer they will have a ton of cap space with Houston owning a 2027 pick swap.
The Nets can take slightly overpaid players who can contribute (not Beal or PG) but that cap space is extremely valuable for a team that plans to load up next year.
If the Nets are helping someone out of cap hell, especially for a non-expiring contract you can better believe that they want to be paid for it.

Re: Suns/Nets/76ers//Bulls
At first glance it's a massive gift to the Bulls moving Vucevic and Carter to get Claxton. The problem is getting Royce for 3 more years and $33M. He's already 31 years old so unless there's some contender who wants him he's an anchor the Bulls don't want much less need.
Look at Smith's stats, never 10 ppg he's honestly never matched Patrick Williams' three best years, at least Williams is 23 years old and has a potential future. There's Royce guaranteed behind Buzelis and probably Williams, and with Claxton and Zach Collins they could use Jalen Smith at the 4, the Bulls have their picks going forward one could be a PF. They had Torrey Craig on a tiny $3m contract who could have filled the role Royce would be paid tripe for three years.
Sorry when you go beneath the surface it's expensive and not that good

Maybe I’m wrong but I’ve always viewed O’Neale’s contract as very moveable. He has a ton of playoff experience. Consistently solid contributor. Feel like the Bulls could get off that contract at the deadline pretty easily and might get paid to do it.

I need some incentive for the extra year of money. That PG contract is really awful.

BIg ol bunch of meh for the sixers. if jo can't go next season we should just take bailey at 3 and let pg mentor him. The move back to ditch pg plan would make more sense if it was given that jo is coming back at an all-star level and we got a cheaper/lesser term wing back instead of Vuc.

If you still believe in Embiid this is a good trade for the Sixers. Looks like the consensus is a two player draft. The difference between 3-8 might not be all that significant. If Ace Bailey is the guy from their pov the Sixers have to stick. If he isn’t, this trade makes a ton of sense.

Re: Suns/Nets/76ers//Bulls
6ers and Suns need to send value to Brooklyn.
How about this:
Suns trade: Beal, Royce, #29
Suns Get: PG, #36
6ers Trade: PG, #3
6ers Get: Cam, Vuc, Carter, #12
Bulls Trade: Vuc, Carter, #12
Bulls Get: Claxton, Royce #19
Nets Trade: Claxton, Johnson, #19, #36
Nets Get: Beal, #3, #29

Easy yes for the Bulls.
Nets are getting screwed here. They move up 5 spots but trade away 2 very good players with value and take on the worst deal in the league.

The contract is bad, but there are only two years left and you could argue he's the best player in the trade (he's a 3-time all-start). It expires a year before Claxton (who you could also argue is overpaid...for a center who has his own flaws, doesn't shoot (terrible 51% free throw shooter which makes him unplayable at times, he's too skinny and a mediocre rebounder for his position)...and they are also receiving another future FRP in addition to moving up 5 places

Beal has a no trade clause. I think that makes his contract the worst in the league by a wide margin.
