The Mavs then trade Gafford to the Warriors for Moody + TJD...
AD/Lively/TJD
PJ/Marshall/O-Max
Flagg/Martin
Klay/Moody
Reaves/*KI/B.Williams
The LAKERS get Christie back, who is a good fit alongside Luka, and they would have more assets to continue making trades. They send Utah the 2 FRPs they wanted for Kessler (29 + 31) + unprotected 27 along with Maxi/Vincent/Hardy, and they get Sexton in the package.
Kessler/Vandervilt
LeBron/DFS
Hachimura/Knecht
Christie/FA/Hardy
Luka/Sexton/Bronny
Christie can't be traded back to the Lakers.
I think PJ + Hardy + Powell + Lakers pick back to LA for Reaves and they figure out how to dump salary is a good trade.
Lakers should run with 4 good PFs instead of overpay for centers.
Yeah, I like that too, I'd probably try to make that bigger and send Hachimura/Maxi/l/Knecht to BLAZERS for Ayton..
I think you need a big guy to compete and fit the max cap space target for 2026 and getting the pick back puts them in good position for a future trade.

Dint see lakers running without center as an option at all. Thats what they did this year.
Something like pj+lively for reaves+vandebilt. Lakers get the best fitting center with luka and a pf thats proven to be good with him. Mavs get a pg to run the show til kyries is back and proved he can be 2nd playmaker once he get back, and considering Ads playstyle it should be fine with vandebilt

That sounds too rich for my blood, Mavs have no use for Vando even with PJ out and I'd rather keep the book cleans than eating his contract.
PJ+ for Reaves makes more sense imho.

Lively alone is more valuable than Reaves, PJ for Vando makes it way too good for LA, but it's much closer than the original LA/DAL deal SMH
