Kings/Spurs

KINGS
In:#14
Out: Spurs 27 FRP

The Kings get a pick in this Draft to select a big wing who can defend, C. Bryant/R. Fleming/Boyles

SPURS
In: Spurs 27
Out:14

SPURS after picking the top pick in the lottery, get their pick back, which better prepares them for future trades.

If Spurs do pick Harper, I don't see them wanting to make that pick, so I have this as definite yes for them, question is if the Kings really like someone at #14, if the Spurs trade #2 for Giannis, #14 will likely be in the deal and Bucks will decide on this trade.

Spurs say no.

It’s good. Sac has a number of ways to move into the first round (SA/OKC/ATL/NETS). Sac could use the Minny 31 as well.

Only way Spurs do this, is if they have really bad inside info on Wemby's health (knock on wood). Otherwise, it's a given that Spurs 27 pick will be much worse than 14, they can get better returns for this (either multiple protected picks, or an un protected one from a different team that is more risky, including the Kings themselves).

The Spurs have two blue chips in Wemby and Harper, a potential blue chip in Castle, and maybe a workable rotation piece in Sochan. They have plenty of room to take another guy, whether that's getting a forward to compete with and eventually replace Barnes, Johnson or Vassell or drafting Wemby's backup so folks don't try to force their highly paid centers onto SA's roster. So 14 is useful. I think the Kings need to add here.

This is why it’s more likely Sac uses that pick to move into the draft with a different team. The Nets are a prime target.

Yeah, you can probably land 26 with that pick... 19 would be pushing it. 14 is out of the question.

Wemby’s durability is in question and you don’t risk a high pick for middle pick
