Right! And Suns fans probably universally think that’s low. The difference is one first and Ware instead of Jokic. I don’t think that’s a huge value difference and Riley likes KD a lot more than you. Add to that the state of the Eastern Conference if Giannis leaves, going for it in the next two years makes a ton of sense.

For us that is a huge value difference. We are not including Ware at all. Absolute zero interest. It would have to be for a star player that is much younger.

We refused to include him at the deadline, nothings changed

What is Ware’s ceiling if he deserves this kind of value?

I would say he could hit 20, 12, and 2.5 blocks with good defense. You don't trade that, along with the ability to move Bam to the 4 (which gives us a huge strategic advantage) for a 37 year old who doesn't make us any better than we were with Butler. Sorry, but it's a really stupid move.

So you think he could be one of the best players in the NBA? Okay. That’s just tough to see from outside Heat Nation I guess. Said I’d be fine taking Jovic instead. Suns need both player prototypes. Jovic will be a good role player in the NBA and I’d be shocked if Ware turned out to be anywhere close to as good as Bam. Much less better like you suggest.

And brother, KD is still as good or better than Jimmy ever was in a Heat uniform. Regular season, post season, whatever. He will continue to decline but a 7’ shooter’s game will age pretty well. What KD will never be is the leader Jimmy Butler is. If Heat culture is really that strong this should be a no brainer.

I didn't say one of the best players in the NBA. 20 and 12 is a pretty good center, I grant you, but he's not going to be one of the best players in the NBA. That is his potential. No guarantee he'll reach it.

Let me ask you - what's the cap of a team with a 37 year old Durant, an undersized center in Bam (in an era of two bigs), no starting point guard, and no depth, and how long do you see the window being?

20/12/2.5 is a top five center/top 25 player in the NBA? That’s rare air my friend.

2-3 years but that’s probably the window no matter who they go get this summer. But if they are staying under the tax all together then that window doesn’t really exist in 25/26 anyway.

I like the Heats depth and I think that puts them in a good position to make a trade like this. They would still have options after this trade to better their roster. Not a Davion Mitchell fan?

Oh, I'm a huge Mitchell fan. I'm just not a fan of a 37 year old Durant. Miami is a thin team at this point. By my estimation we're maybe 8 men deep right now, but we're going to cut Robinson to save $10 million, leaving us with 7 quality players (Bam, Herro, Ware, Mitchell, Wiggins, Jovic, and Anderson - Highsmith is sorta okay).

I don't see us trading more than Jovic, Wiggins, picks, and filler for Durant and I sure as hell hope we don't. It would be an absolute waste for us and for him, and the only player on your roster that gets us to trade Ware is Booker. Please, stop trying to convince Heat fans otherwise.

I’m not. I was trying to understand why you value him so much. I think your assessment is crazy high but whatever. I’ve been clear that I’d take Jovic instead. My last post was just about how I like the Heats depth and think Davion is probably their starting PG next year - that’s in response to your question. So calm down homie. Just having a conversation about a fake trade.
