PW is a worse contract than MPJ and he's less productive on the floor. Don't see Denver having any interest in this. Huerter is JAG at this point.

I feel like Nuggets might explore an option where they try to trade both MPJ + Braun together...MPJ's contract is bad but atleast Braun might help sweeten the deal.

If Denver is gun shy about paying Braun (and that's a load bearing "if" here), that package makes a lot of sense. Braun's extension won't kick in until MPJ is off the books. I think you'd have to find a team willing to give Denver two wings that are a net upgrade over MPJ + Braun though...I'm not sure that team is out there and willing to make that swap?

Is this a joke?

I know MPJ is a punching bag because of the contract, but this is a guy who scored 18 a game with 7 boards, shot 50/40/77. Plays every day. 26 years old. He was hurt in the playoffs.

For the 700th time. Denver is not moving him for straight up trash. Patrick Williams is an insult. They'll keep him instead.

Not really. I wasn’t impressed before the injury. He doesn’t create shots and doesn’t play good defense. Anybody playing starter minutes at F can grab 7 rebounds. He’s a $40m catch and shoot player. Does he do much that Duncan Robinson doesn’t do?

So I think that the overall picture for Denver is rosier than people realize. Their starting 5 was one of the best performing lineups in the league that played major minutes (over 300). They were even better when Murray, Gordon, Jokic and Braun played together without MPJ (plus 13.8 vs. plus 10.6 with MPJ).

I think they just need a decent 3 and D guy, a backup and 1 more combo wing and their set. I like something like MPJ for Kuzma, Portis and Connaughton or maybe MPJ plus Naji for Middelton and Kispert.

But there are options, it isnt as bad as it seems.

 You went from Torrey Craig to Duncan Robinson. What's next, Aaron Wiggins?

Tobias is better and a lot more reliable than MPJr.

I don’t think that’s true. Porter is younger, has better numbers and has been pretty durable the last couple years. I mean he is an option as the younger forward that pistons fans have been looking for to replace Harris moving forward. But I get wanting to go somewhere else. But Harris isnt the better player right now.

Better numbers where? He is the better shooter and that's about it. THE GAME IS PLAYED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FLOOR.

I wouldn’t call Harris a defensive stopper

Utah isn't taking Williams with no incentive.

He is a very good defender he is way above average. He is no Ausar or Daniels or Wemby but the difference between Tobias and Porter is huge on defense. Tobias also can create his own shot, which is very important for Detroit, since Ausar and Duren can't.

Tobias is by far the better of the 2 and he is way more reliable.

MPJ/Saric/Strawther for Lavine,
after the Draft maybe you can convince the Pistons to trade Nnaji + Tyson + SRP for Fontecchio?

What would something much bigger look like? Monk/DDR/Lavine for Murray/MPJ/Nnaji/Strawther

Murray/Ellis/K.Murray/MPJ/Sabonis..
Carter /Strawther/LaRavia/Nnaji/Valanciunas ...

DDR/Lavine/Brawn/Gordon/Jokic
Westbrook/Monk/Watson/Holmes

I think the Bucks are a good trade partner here. They can dangle Connaughton's expiring contract and Kuzma, then can even take Saric into their TPE from the Middleton trade ($7.4 million). Gives Denver a ton of cap relief without them giving up assets.
