What would your team be willing to trade to have Embiid?

I don't think he's tradeable until he takes the court again and Philly is the only team that can avail itself of the medical retirement exception to clear the years remaining on his contract. Frankly, it's difficult to read Morey's recent comments as anything other than encouraging Embiid to take that route.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

If Philly is trying to trade him, he has no trade value because they have way more information than anyone else.

Very much a "Market for Lemons" problem here.

Trade value? Negative. Massively negative. He played 19 games last year and 39 the year before. It's questionable about whether he will see the court any more of that this year. And he's signed to 2029. There is roughly 0% chance he's playing at that point and you would be paying $69M .

Massively negative. Almost untradeable. Even if he played a few games, his career trajectory unfortunately isn’t reliable and not sustainable.

No team in their right mind will trade real value for him as we currently stand.

Maybe just maybe a team that’s loaded sends out veteran depth and treats him like Orlando treats Jonathan Isaac and deploys him 15m a night and skips every B2B, every tough game and just try to baby him until the playoffs. Maybe.
