He had a terrible season, after a number of mediocre seasons, and then he blew his Achilles. Not sure why you think he's good particularly?

So NO overpaid for him. Two firsts and Dyson. After Atlanta overpaid SA for him?

Never really watched him. Stats seemed ok even with low three percentage.

Why did they trade for him if he is bad and overpaid?

I have seen Beal. He might be a good shooter off the bench but that is it. Paid way too much. I anticipate him taking a trade to a team that is getting compensated enough to cut him and let him ring hunt. Only way he approves a trade.

I like this trade for the Suns.

And probably is too good for the Bulls.

I’d just make it

Beal+Grayson for DJM+CJM and be very okay the second apron hard cap and the improved guard play.

The Suns can not combine contracts for matching purposes.

Thank Micic and Martin for stopping by.

The 2 for 2 swap trims an additional 8 mil.

Meaning Phoenix has 10-11 mil in second apron space with 9 players. Technically enough to sign 5 vet mins (some second round contracts would help) if the team does keep Durant.

But realistically, most any KD trade will involve multiple players back and some financial savings.

Looks like that can work but I’d still rather retain Allen as the Suns in order to add more players in an ancillary trade. Plus I think the Pels would prefer the cap space. BUT I could probably be talked into this. It’s simple and gets Beal out the door.

combined contracts of Murray and Williams is worse

Nobody ever thinks about this. They only see bad contracts coming in, they never take into account contracts moving out. I can't tell you how many times I have posted that's double counting on this board and everyone just stares at me like I'm speaking a foreign language. And this in deals where their team moves out more salary than they take in.

They just see a guy with a bad contract and stop there lol. You can explain it, but trust me it won't make a bit of difference. I mean I've had this argument with you many times. :D

First of all 2 bad contracts are always easier to handle then one bad contract when the money is the same. 2nd, the Pelicans are trading CJ Mccollum and Murray, not Williams and Murray. CJ MCcollum ist still quallity NBA player and since his NBA contract is expiring this year, he as at worst neutral, if not positive contract right now(this is not 3 years ago when he signed an extension). Dejoune Murray is injured next season, but when he comes back he will still be a starter in this league and his contract declines in last year.
Bradley Beal is not serious NBA player anymore, he got bencher multiple times this season for the not so deep Suns. Also, most important thing he has a **** no trade clause which makes him by far the worst contract in the NBA since you cant move him, he is black hole in sallary sheet, living cancun life collecting paychecks. Suns are not getting rid of Beal this offseason unless they overpay a lot.
