Giannis HOU, Sengun NOP

Post#1 » by nolaPELSfan » Sun May 25, 2025 7:14 pm

Houston: Giannis, Dejounte Murray, '26 Pels 1st via Indy

Milwaukee: Jalen Green, #7, Herb Jones, Olynyk, Pels '26 1st MIL swap, '27 PHX 1st from HOU, '27 BKN swap 1st from HOU

Pels: Sengun, #10, Sheppard, Landale

MIL finds a reasonable return if Giannis wants HOU now (idk why he would tho, honestly).
Pels and Houston's ambitions here are obvious.

Milw needs their picks back here, and the #7/10 to start the rebuild
Let me try

NO sends Milw picks/#7 to Bucks and Murray to Hou
NO gets Sengun

Hou sends Sengun to NO and Green/Lockdale/Sheppard/Whitmore/#10 to Milw
Hou gets Giannis/Murray
FVV/Murray
Thompson
Brooks/Eason
JSmith/Eason
Giannis/Adams
Hou signs shooters-Maybe Sheppard stays and Hou adds another pick?

Bucks start over-Let Green fire away, maybe with Sheppard/Whitmore. They have #7/10 and their pick backs. Let's say they draft Malauch/Newell.
Maybe Hou sends the Suns' pick too?
Sheppard
Green
Whitmore
Newell
Malauch
Run the kids and see what happens, add a top 5 2026 pick

Before the Bucks fans see this here OP, say it:

This is awful and nowhere near enough for Giannis. I like how you got rid of Murray's terrible deal and got the non-Giannis asset in Sengun out of it. That would not happen. If you get him then you give back all of the MIL picks you have, plus your pick at #7. You don't get #10 back. This is bad. Very bad.

Why does NOLA owe their MIL swaps necessarily to MIL? They're getting the better one back in OP anyway, and a #7, and Herb, and Pels are giving a 26 1st bast to HOU which the enables them to trade their most valuable 2 picks from PHX & BKN. Thats plenty for their end.

Just pasting my post from other thread:

Bucks receive #7, #10, 2026 MIL 1st Swap return via NOP, 2027 MIL 1st Swap return via NOP, 2027 best two of PHX/hou/bkn, 2029 best two of dal/hou/phx. Plus Whitmore, JGreen, Murray. That is eight firsts - premium firsts that could all be lottery.
NO gets Sheppard, Jabari and Portis. NO shores weaknesses and adds talent for long term.
Houston gets Giannis to add to Sengun, Amen, Eason, Vleet with resigned Adams and Brooks.

Yes, Milwaukee is not adding a star but eight high value firsts (two in lottery now) is a ton. Cam and Green still can bust out. I know Rockets fans want them in the East if dealt. Murray might rehab and have trade value.

Thats way too much from NOP for Jabari/Reed, let alone for helping Giannis into to division AND keep Sengun, And trading out of the draft this year entirely. They're providing half of the Giannis ammo for quarter return.

Two #3 picks. Jabari is probably the dream guy next to Zion. Sheppard hasn’t had a chance but could be a great 3&d guy.
Portis is one year big which killed NO last year so depth.

NO gives a swap that may have value. Might not if mil keeps Giannis. Same thought goes for the mil pick. And #7. Also dumps the Murray contract.

This feels way too cheap for Giannis, who I doubt is interested in Houston anyhow.
