BOS gives: Jrue
BOS gets: Kuzma, Chris Livingston
Why? Save money.
UTA gives: Sexton, Collins
UTA gets: Ayton, 2nds
Why? Open up a roster spot save money, get some picks for an expiring Sexton
POR gives: Grant, Ayton
POR gets: Dame, PatC
Why? Shed last year of Grant's deal, bring back franchise icon to market to fanbase.
MIL gives: Dame, Kuzma, PatC, Livingston, 2nds
MIL gets: Grant, Holiday, Collins, Sexton
Why? Bring in an entirely new starting unit around Giannis with Sexton/Holiday/Grant/Giannis/Collins. Sexton/Grant add some guys who can create their own shot. Jrue is a friend of Giannis and great glue guy around them. Collins is a flawed player but Giannis covers those flaws. Spotrac has them $28.2M below the 1st apron with 10 players signed and this uses up $21.9M of that cushion. I think this stems the tide for at least another year with Giannis staying. Might need to explore a Portis trade if he opts in, but they can make that work.

Kuzma, the poor man's version of Jayson Tatum.

I got to say this is the best end result for the Bucks I've seen where I think its at least reasonably feasible the other teams would do their part. Utah feels like they are getting short-changed the most though and I'm thinking they wouldn't play their part.
But from where the Bucks currently sit, I really love this for them. Are the pieces perfect? Oh absolutely not. But is that way more talent than they have today? Oh absolutely.

At first I thought MIL's '31 1st for Sexton but that felt like too much of an overpayment the other way. Maybe BOS owes some value for the savings from Jrue/Kuzma swap but they'd need to deal Kuzma's deal further down to accomplish what they want and I'm not sure exactly how easy that would be to do, so if they had to attach assets for that as step one there might be better deals out there for them (DAL, SAC, etc.).
If the Jazz sent Kenyon Martin to the Celtics and took back Kuzma then the deal saves enough money for BOS that maybe they could justify a future pick. I think their roster would be too weak to do '26 pick but maybe '27 or something further off. That gets Utah a real asset out of Sexton and I think taking back 2 years of Kuzma is a reasonable ask for that.

Trading Sexton and Collins for a 30 million dollar backup center and a 2nd or two probably doesn't work. I also don't love it for Boston, Kuzma is so ungodly bad ...

Agreed. I don't love it for Portland either.
