Dame is the worst deal in the league right now. Worse than Podcast P and worse than Beal.

Nah

Excellent analysis. I’m sold.

Very Simple, he showed that he is breaking down - of the three years left on his deal Yr 1 maybe ok player, yr 2 neutral/negative player, yr 3 negative

Its that 3rd year that kills it. A non-offensive player who slowed down on D making $37 mil

You almost get it. Now explain Damian Lillard with this same rationale.

I did above - But since you asked, before the injury, dame was still a top 25 player in the league. Its a big unknown what will happen in 2026/2027, but he will be expiring.

Dame is essentially untradable right now, so I don't see how this is close. Pre-injury, you might have had an outside chance that some other playoff team would take a flier on him, but nobody is going to pay him that much money to not suit up next year.

holiday could actually help a lot of teams next year. Sure, he'll be overpaid by the end of his deal, but I think there are teams that would take the production now and figure out how to dump him later.

100% agree on next season, but smart teams see the whole picture. Jrue is just not a difference maker - If you are relying on him to be top 3 player on your team, you already lost.

Once again not serious. Jrue's smaller last year is just unacceptable. But Dame's much bigger last year is just fine because expiring.

One standard for Bucks players. One very different standard for non-Bucks players.

Before the worse injury a player can suffer? Before his torn Achilles? At age 36.

He's cooked and is the worse deal in the league.

He won't play next year and will likely not even be a factor in his last year.

You don't have to be a top 3 player on the team to be a solid contributor. If he's your 5th best starter, you probably have a really nice team going. The only question is whether your team has the cap flexibility to pay him 32M to be a good role player. Most teams don't, but I'm sure you can find a team with 30M in guys who aren't worse than holiday.
