Why is Goga so underrated by Magic fans? He is really good and I’d imagine penciled in as the starting center next season. Am I wrong?

not on magic wcj will be starter with no trades..he is a solid backup spot starter insurance...on magic everyone healthy mo wagner backs wcj.. goga 3rd he is expandable if magic draft center with 1 of first rd picks

Goga is underrated and the team itself always seems to play better when Goga gets more minutes

Fox is an elite guard who fits on every team. Sabonis is a non defending center. And again hes already hinted hes going to talk to management about what the future plans are. This is basically exactly what fox did last summer.

And this return btw is significantly better than what fox returned

Da Silva = 31 minnesota 1st

Elite guards make the all star team more than once in 8 seasons, and that 1 all star was only due to injury replacement. Fox is good, but every metric paints Sabonis to be a much more impactful player.

All star games are not the end all be all for deciding elite talent. He played in a conference with Shai, curry, luka, lillard, and many more.

Anyways, this thread isn't about fox. Its about moving sabonis in a deal that makes sense for sac. We aren't going anywhere, getting a 23 year old stud defensive guard who is getting better every year, a young forward with potential and a pick is a solid haul.

I get that, but the guards you listed are the actual elite guards, Fox just isn’t on their level. Still a good player though.

The Magic seem to play better when Goga is in the lineup.

No thanks to a Sabonis/Paolo/Franz front court... especially while getting weaker in back court.
