You don’t just have to meet the bar for NO to move the pick today. Everyone knows the picks are worth more the second Giannis is traded, so you have to talk them out of just waiting and moving them afterward. Sure, you check in with them. But it has to be one hell of a fit for what Dumars wants to dislodge them from those picks. I also don’t love the idea of Milwaukee starting out Giannis negotiations from an approach that cedes leverage to New Orleans. There are other picks out there. Why purposely limit your scope like this?
