New Orleans / Washington

New Orleans outgoing

Murray
Olynyk

Washington outgoing

Middleton
Holmes

Payton / Alvarado
Middleton / McCollum / Reeves / Hawkins
Murphy III / Jones
Williamson / Matkovic
Holmes / Missi

#7

New Orleans brings in a veteran wing and center that can help them from that start of the season. Middleton's spacing should help Zion and Trey.

Washington isn't winning next year and can afford to wait on Murray's full recovery. Olynyk is a vet for their young players.

Washington can wait on the recovery of Murray, but why do they want to?

The Wizards need some incentive here.

Wait, what? On what planet is Middleton and Holmes better than Murray and Olynyk? Murray is hurt, not dead. Yes we need to see how his recovery goes but I have a hell of a lot more faith in that as compared to Middelton’s future.

Just at its base, did we seriously bench Herb Jones, CJ and Missi for Elfrid, Middleton and Holmes???

Washington isn’t close enough to coming out of the rebuild to bring in Murray for free.

NOP could probably clear a lot of his salary in a deal with a different team, if that’s what they were looking to do.. But Washington looks like they are a long ways from coming out of the rebuild..

On the planet where being wildly overpaid ruins your team's ability to build a competitive roster.

Murray may be a better than the corpse of Middleton, but he is not worth that salary; so every year he is on the roster, he hurts your team. Last season, Murray posted a TS% of .494 for crying out loud. And THEN he blew out his Achilles!

Middleton is a better asset because he disappears in a year.
