I think these two teams are VERY good trading partners
CWhite for Reed
CWhite for #10 (Landale as salary)
Whitmore for Port pick (Whitmore into Bulls' TPE)
JSmith for #12 (TPE use)
Of course, the Bulls could be part of a 3 way possibly. Bulls send out White/Vuc and get JGreen plus something
Any of these look good for Houston and Chicago?

Coby White is fairly average player on an average contract. He is not a player that would be very attractive to Houston, and he's worth to me, maybe a late first?
Reed is much much more valuable. That is a non starter.
#10 is crapshoot, but White doesn't really bring anything we need, so prefer the #10 either to draft or trade into the future. You could maybe use White to jump from 12 to 10.
Whitmore deal is okay-ish
It would require multiple picks for me to move Jabari.

Re: Hou-Chi
I think White's contract makes him a hard sell for 10 or Reed for a team like Houston with a bunch of kids to pay and the risk involved because you can't extend him at a number he'd accept.
POR pick is too much for Whitmore for me. I'd insist on it just being 2 2nds with no chance at a first. I realize some others may value him more than me.
The last one is the most interesting to me. If the Rockets do something big and that team doesn't want Smith because of the impending contract, Chicago offering up 12 to take him could make sense. Don't see Houston just trading him for 12 as a standalone though.

I think it would be tough to give up 10 or Reed for White.
A spin off type that no one will like would be Green and 10 for White and Houston’s choice of Vuc or Collins.. maybe too far there though. Add Cam?
Collins offers defense when he plays, Vuc offers offense/rebounding.. some tax breathing space..
Getting rid of Green opens up Coby’s next contract spot

I actually like this. Moving Green opens up space to pay White if the Rockets do like their fans want and don't add Giannis or KD. Bulls get a tank commander but who casual fans will get excited about because he will score points and have some highlights--like a less filtered Zach LaVine. And now they definitely deserve a good asset back.

Re: Hou-Chi
For where the Bulls are I'd keep White over the potential of Sheppard, all HOU fans see him playing his way to be an all star, I see a guy who didn't get NBA minutes so who knows. Coby might not be perfect but 25ppg is real not potential
I doubt HOU thinks White is the missing piece of a ring to give up #10, don't even look at Landale unless Vucevic is moving on.
I'd like to have Smith, a trio up front of he, Matas and Williams covers a lot. Smith is the 3rd 3pt shooter of the group, probably the best rebounder but any 2 of the 3 should play well together. That he's a RFA in a year is risky that he plays well for a bigger payday
I can't easily trade for Whitmore, with his limited sample size. 2 years and 49 games per year, and just plug him in at the SF . Have you seen enough of his games to bet that he'll blossom n CHI? Like Smith, both Matas and Williams shoot better from 3, he averages 0.8 assists, the Bulls win when they share the ball can Cam give it up? That PORT pick is #15 at best, Cam got picked #20 and now knows what the NBA game is like, that's a fair move. Still one year at a club option before RFA.

Re: Hou-Chi
I've been a Coby for Sheppard advocate, but a lot of it boils down to if you think Coby White helps Houston contend, which I think it absolutley does.
Coby scored 20 ppg on 60.1% TS% this last year.
For some pespective - Coby would be the most effecient offensive players on the entire Houston Rockets team. And in some cases, particularly at the guard psot, it would be by a wide margin.
Some comparisons:
Jalen Green - 54.4% TS%
FVV - 51.5% TS%
Reed Sheppard - 46.5% TS%
Dillon Brooks - 55.5% TS%
When it comes to putting the ball in the basket - Coby White would instantly become the best scorer on the entire team. You can debate how valuable that would be - but the very first reponse to this post said - "White doesn't really bring anything we need"
You need scoring - and Coby does it better than anyone on the Houston roster.
Everyone always wants to build a dynasty before they build an actual contender. Reed Sheppard might one day be good, but when that day comes - where's FVV, Brooks, Adams or other valuable vets the Rockets are relying on right now?
I believe Houston could win a championship - but not if they sit back and rely solely on internal improvements.
With that said - I doubt Coby White is Houston's 1A plan.
But in a vacuum I think he's certainly worth Reed or #10 due to how close Houston is to contending, and how much of a need (scoring) he fills.

Re: Hou-Chi
That's interesting
Vuc/Coby/Port pick for Green/Whitmore/#10
Hou gets much needed offense and the future Port pick
Bulls get younger/more athletic and add a good 1st now
Bulls have
Giddey/Ball
Green/Ayo
PWill/Huerter
Matas/Whitmore
Collins/Smith
With the #10 and 12 to play with, and depth of Carter, Terry, Phillips
Hou has a top 9 of FVV, Reed, White, Amen, Brooks, Eason, Smith, Sengun, Vuc

Re: Hou-Chi
What if we combine the rumor of 10 for Cam Johnson and 19 and something with 19+ Cam Whitmore for white? 10 feels rich. Jalen goes to whoever wants him more (or doesn't want him the least)
