Sabonis to Memphis

Post#1 » by esvl » Mon Jun 9, 2025 9:58 pm

Sabonis

for

Edey
Aldama (SNT, 16m)
Clarke
Konchar
1st 2026 (unprotected)
1st 2028 (top-5 protected)
1st 2030 (top-10 protected)

Sacramento will go into the retooling process, further develop Aldama and Edey, and get 2 more picks for future deals.

Memphis will get a fourth star instead of waiting for Edey’s and Aldama’s maturity.

2 projected late 1sts arent enough. Edeys value tanked after his injury

Sharpe and Sabonis are not even in the same universe. I’d rather simply go with Bagley.

I want to resign Bagley as well for the Vet Min. Sharpe also gets you 60% of Sabonis offense with better defense.

In my world, Sharpe can’t pass, can’t defend, can’t shoot 3. Essentially, no above average contribution beyond low post offence.

This still feels really light. Edey is already scheduled to miss the start of next year.

I'd really want at least GG. But I think most Kings fans would ask for local legend (lol) Jaylen Wells.

Ideally - Aldama, Clark, GG, Wells
but -

Aldama, Clarke, GG, Edey + 3 1sts
or
Aldama, Clarke, Konchar, Wells + 2 1sts

In all seriousness- I think with dark days ahead for the Kings, having a local guy like Wells become a fan favorite would mean a lot.

MEM should laugh this idea off the phone.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

OP initial offer feels pretty massive IMO.
3 real contributors plus 3 firsts with decent upside potential, no bad contracts.
