What is Hield worth?

Post#1 » by radtech » Sun Jun 15, 2025 7:36 pm

Is Desmond Bane worth four future first round picks, one pick swap, KCP, and Cole Anthony?

To the Magic, yes.

So what is Hield worth?

Three point shooting:
This Season: 37%
Postseason: 43%
Career: 40%

He is what he is, a three point specialist. Started the regular super hot and provided another scoring threat. Then his shot disappeared during the middle of the season, he started over dribbling, and tried to do too much. He is still a three point threat, he just needs to know his limitations.

Would like both of Charlotte's second round picks as they were one of the worst three point shooting teams and Josh Okogie to match salaries.

If only Hield plays within his limitations… (same could be said for a lot of other players though)

I don’t think there’s any relation between the Bane trade and what Hield is worth

Do you like money?

If so, have you thought about investing in cryptocurrency?

Hield's trade value has already been determine several trades ago. The Bane trade has no effect on his trade value.

Two completely different players. Desmond Bane is a good playmaker, along with being a good shooter and is a proven 3rd option on a good enough contract. Buddy Hield is a one dimensional shooter who's a bench player. There's no relation to Bane value compared to Hield's value.

Like the Bane trade could effect guys like Darius Garland, Derrick White,Deni Avdija, Jalen Suggs, Mikal Bridges,Jarrett Allen,Ivica Zubic and maybe even Coby White,Cam Johnson, and Walker Kessler level players as well. True starting level players who are ether 3rd options or atleast have shown that they can be very impactful 4th options. Someone who a 20-25 minute per game bench player's trade value wouldn't be at all effected by someone who's playing 30+ minutes per game and is a very clear starter.

I’d say after the Bane trade, the Buddy value would be a first, younger/low end rotational player and filler.

One, maybe two, unprotected 2nd round picks.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

He just got traded for a far future 2nd round pick last summer in the Klay Thompson trade and I think GSW would struggle to get that much this summer.

The Warriors probably don't make it out of the first round without Heild and he makes less than $10M per. Whatever his trade value is, and it's late first at best, it's not high enough for it to make sense for a completely capped out Warriors team.

He’s a contract for a bigger trade. On his own, maybe a couple late 2nds.

Basically this. Hield is a good role player making good role player money. He's more useful to us than whatever we could get in return (which is probably just a couple 2nd round picks or a similar role player at a different position).
