I agree. I do not think people think if Claxton was traded it would be for 5 1st. No one has said that.

I agree, but I think people laughing at Marks holding out for 2 1sts for Cam Johnson were off. Marks seems close on his valuation. Claxton should return meh salary filler and a first.


agreed, Bane deal is a great comp for CamJ. I don't expect that return, but half of that return is 2 FRPs. He's cheaper, 2 years older, less upside, so I think half of what Bane returned is probably right, and on the nets end I expect they will prioritize moving him to get the highest pick they can this year vs accumulating future assets, so it's possible he's deal just for salary filler + whatever the highest pick is they can get this year.

I think that rumor of him being attached to #19 to move up 10 slots to #9 now feels very light.

But, if traded 2 1sts and moving up in this draft a few spots seems much more fair than the Bane trade.
