No for Bulls. Don’t want Barrett at all.

The argument for RJ is that he fits well with Giddy and replaces old talent with younger talent.

Can’t shoot. Plays slow. Hasn’t improved.

Nobody wants Barrett. Awful fit with Giddey.

Not sure why all the hate on RJ. As a raps fan I am not interested in Lonzo. The only bull I would be interested in is Giddey.

I think RJ is fine, but not a great fit with what we're doing

2/3 great for the Bulls. Move Vucevic and get Barrett. I continue the not want to trade Lonzo. I think other teams want to yell about him being injury prone so they can steal him at the now reduced $10M pricetag. Even some Bulls fans seem to think that he signed for $10M so he could be traded to someplace not of his choosing. You must think he's dumb enough to not have just waited and picked a place in free agency. The Bulls probably need him for 24 minutes a game right now. and the leadership he brings, I don't see any other team looking for him as a leader.

I would think most teams would see more value in an expiring Ayo Dosunmu, he's been a starter for the Bulls, cam in playing defense, has improved his shooting and drives to the basket very well. Depending on who they have starting at guard he's an option or a backup to either position.

Barrett at the SF opposite Buzelis with Patrick Williams behind them has a lot of scoring and pretty good defense. It also reduces the Bulls guard glut.

Explain how you see the fit maybe? Because I see a guy who isn't effective off-ball coming to play with a guy who absolutely has to be on ball. Yes, you do need more than one on-ball threat, but there are better options out there than RJ.

This honestly feels like a stealth tank trade for Chicago. Which I wouldn't hate. Sell fans on former high lottery pick, just list his box score stats with no additional context and casual fans will think they got a building block. Organization will understand he's a commander.

The Suns should absolutely be open to that.

If I’d were 3-4 years younger then sure, but him turning 37 and only having 1 year on his deal isn’t something a rebuilding team should do. Also, kd isn’t the ceiling raiser as he once was because now, he needs a true first option to play with. Toronto doesn’t have one at the moment; they shouldn’t part with a potential player that’ll be in their program for 7-8 years in contrast to 1-2 years.

I can understand that. Durant is not interested in playing for Toronto. Ingram hasn't even touched the floor yet and he got that extension. I think Toronto wants to see him play on the team first. I am not overly thrilled with moving RJ. But RJ and the 9 would be the center piece of a KD flier. At the end of the day I rather them see what they got on the court first. I like the roster as is.

I'm hoping all the KD to TOR stuff is just the TOR front office trying to look busy during the off-season because I just don't see the Raptors positioned to send out a couple of starters and still field a competitive squad. TOR has some talent in its starters despite the awkward fit, but the bench is all unproven youngsters, plus the depth at C, PF and PG are all questionable, so they're just not ready for any kind of consolidations trade.

As for the OP, it would leave the Raptors very unbalanced, with Poeltl at C and 3 forwards (KD, BI, SB), with the rest of the roster mostly unproven SGs. I just don't see that roster turning into anything useful before KD ages out, even if he did extend. Agree it could look better if it is Ingram instead of IQ so that TOR has at least one NBA-level PG, but I'd still pass.
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind
