Since Giannis is staying the Bucks could offer the 2031 + 2032 swap and possibly take Jock's additional year for Connaughton's expiring. Not sure that would be prudent on their end but they could be desperate to add talent and the further away the pick is the higher likelihood it ends up being a premium pick with Giannis in the fold.

Jock is non-gtd btw, this would actually be the Rockets taking on money for the Bucks rather than the reverse.

That swap is worth more than 10. Bkn pick should be at least mid lottery.
Those Knicks picks are likely 19-25 range. So, might not be enough to get 10.

The Nets will have the cap space to sign not one but two max players next Summer (if they choose to).

They have no incentive to tank without their pick.

In the weak East they would have no trouble making the play in if their pick belongs to someone else.

Well you never know with a future pick. I think it has a MUCH higher ceiling than the 10 in this draft. People also 'miss' at 10 quite a bit, so i'd say the floor is not far different either. So it's just a matter of timing, which (according to the topic of the thread) is a somewhat equal favor, Philly hopes to cash in early, Hou looks to cash in later... I also don't think LAC has an extended strong future. So I do think the pick will be quite strong.

It's definitely a high variance pick. I just think that pick ending up at #10 would be a really high end outcome. And that the value of a pick now tends to be higher than that of a future pick.
