Wizards trade: Poole
Wizards get: Thompson/Nurkic/#33

Hornets trade: Nurkic/#33
Hornets get: Gafford/Hardy

Mavs trade: Gafford/Thompson/Hardy
Mavs get Poole

Mavs have a long history of making trades with both these franchises fwiw.

Wizards get a high 2nd and long-term salary relief for Poole
Hornets get a rim running center to pair with Williams
Mavs get their stop gap shot creator/future 6th man

Washington gets one slightly bad contract, a big expiring, and a high second for a trash attitude trash player In Poole? And Dallas gives up Gaff for the pleasure?

I think Gafford is worth significantly more than Poole. Not sure how negative Klay is nor what Hardy’s value is, but my impression is the Mavs are getting short changed here value wise.

Poole’s defense is really terrible so not sure he would fit in with Mavs stated desire to defend at a high level. What about going for Marcus Smart instead?

I must be Gafford's biggest fan...I think he's way undervalued here, but I'm often seeing it that way, so maybe I'm off.

If I'm ORL, I'd give #25, Goga and expiring filler (Jett Howard?)

Even Nico Harrison isn't doing this one. I get that it's better to aim low with trade proposals but this is shooting at your own toes.

I don't want Poole at all even for Klay. Let alone Gafford in the same deal. At least 1.5 lottery pick should be included.

Poole is as terrible as Kuzma with bad attitude and big contract.

Awful for Mavs

Klay and Hardy make considerable less than the chucker Poole. And just to throw away Gafford in this trade.

Needs at least a future first for Dallas

Definitley closer to the value of Gaff than Poole. Poole's archtype is just horrid, and with him he has a piss poor attitude, just cant say why Dal would do this
