OKC gets: Trey Murphy
NOP gets: Topic, Dieng, Joe, #15, 2026 PHI 1st (top 4 prot.), 2027 DEN 1st (top 5 prot.)
Thunder get a wing scorer/shooter without trading any of their core pieces. Think that's their one weakness right now - don't really have that microwave scorer than can swing a game. Not sure if they can afford this cap-wise beyond next year though.
Pelicans take a flier on Topic, get a pick to potentially move up this draft and get some future picks with upside.

Re: OKC / NOP - Trey Murphy
It probably comes down to how you view Topic. This is in the same ballpark as what Grizz got for Bane, who I've got roughly on equal footing to Murphy, but Orlando was moving KCP's arguably bad money whereas here OKC is sending back Joe who I've got as positive/neutral value, Topic who just went #12 last year (and was often mocked higher) and the young/expiring Dieng.
I'd say it's probably a bit of an overpay but again comes to how you view Topic post ACL injury.

I don’t have it in the ballpark of the bane offer at all . Even if you consider Orlando salary to be negative while OKC is net neutral.
In any case, I don’t think New Orleans is moving Murphy. It’s something OKC will definitely have to consider .

I doubt NO is looking t rebuild - which would be direction if dealing Murphy.
If they did, could work.
Maybe also send Zion and Oly to PHI for PG and #3.
CJ and Herb to SA for Castle, Keldon, Barnes (or up offer to try for #2).
Let PG/Murray age out while Hawkins/Castle develop. Missi is solid. Just add wings with all the picks.

Regardless of if OKC wins the title, they can opportunistically improve the team without impacting their core. It's probably worth overpaying for someone - whether it's Murphy or someone else.
I think the Pels should blow it up. They were on track, but injuries derailed them. Sell high on Trey, then wait for Herb, Zion and Dejounte to recoup some value in the next year or two.

Both sides will dislike it, which in this case is probably a good sign that it's fair.

I don’t think pelicans should trade Trey even if they blow it up but he will definitely improve our rotation for sure .
