The Nets don't want to get off Claxton. Remove him from this mess please.

I think the best case for the Lakers is something like my earlier thread, but tweaked a bit like Timelord for Kleber+ asset, sign Capela and keep it all moving. BUT if you want a more durable rim running paint defending center, then you have to pony up a bit more.
And Phoenix is more concerned with fit than getting value in a Durant trade that's becoming apparently obvious. And I'm not saying that Claxton doesn't have value around the league. And if you're referring to the report from Matt Moore from Action Network, he was speculating. But it probably had more to do with Brooklyn eating salary moreso than anything else.
Also, trading one injury prone big for another injury prone big isn't going to net any real assets. I'd probably give up 55 to turn Kleber into Timelord, but I'm not including pick swap(s) or future FRPs to do so.

Vincent is an expiring contract. He's neutral value, and pretty much just contract fillers for a trade like a large chunk of the league right now. He's not pushing a deal one way or the other. As for Vanderbilt, I'd agree that the league probably is down on him right now because of the last 2 seasons in which he's struggled with injuries. He's finally healthy, and going to have a full offseason. The last time he had a healthy season, he shot 32% from beyond the arc as opposed to a sub-30% the last 2 seasons. I think we're going to see him valued differently next season.

Claxton isn't a ceiling raiser. He's a floor raiser. And you just argued in favor of that.

No, he's a ceiling raiser. He's at his best delivering more contribution on a good team, the way he helped elevate things with the big 3. On a bad team, with poor PG play, he doesn't improve the team at all.

I agree with this. He said he was also injured last year and needed a full summer of rehab to get back to normal.
Two things about the Nets with Claxton who is on a very team friendly contract:
1) They will not sell low on him
2) He is young enough for their new rebuild
These trade offers for him are not what BK would be looking for in a deal with him. They would need more for them to think about trading him as they want to keep him.

Way too good for LA and I don't even like Claxton, but Vandy is a massive negative. Gabe is not even a guy
