I imagine he'd look at $20M guaranteed in the first yead and take it. With Barnes and Ingram already on the roster, Barrett should not be more valuable to the Raptors than one of the few stretch 5s in the NBA. Of course this is true of the Bucks with their current roster which is why I see the Bucks passing on the extra money here.

Would Toronto pay him 20 mill to back up Poetl? If they want shooting at the 5, there are probably gonna be cheaper options than paying a 37 year old, just to give away Barrett.

I agree Toronto can use spacing, but idk if López is the answer

I have that contract as a way to get off of Barrett's money and a useful trade chip at the deadline as it won't be guaranteed the following season.

we are right up against the tax this year already and if we dont draft a big have a big hole at back up 5.. so i rather pay brolo 20M than RJ for this year

I mean I could see him taking the TMLE if he wants to play for a title. But he's absolutely still worth 8 figures. We focus way too much on age still. Guy just played 32 mpg for 80 games while still doing all the Book Lopez things.

I understand he's not for every team because he's mostly got to be a drop guy. But what he brings is worth $10M easy, easy.

Brooklyn/Detroit wouldnt do that with their capspace.
Other teams that offer that has to give Milwaukee something they like more than RJ to participate in a S&T. Nobody is offering a 1st for Brolo.

Who do you have in mind?

Plenty of teams who need a center/veteran leadership. Hawks feel like a pretty obvious choice with a big TPE so they don't have to send back a player if the Bucks don't want any of the guys they move but can provide them a TPE to do their own shopping with. Charlotte should absolutely place a call. Lakers should be extremely interested. I wouldn't rule out Brooklyn. Good vet, could be flippable at the deadline. Spurs should have interest. Pacers if they decide they can't/won't pay Turner.

Those are just off the top of my head. Now I can't speak to how much the Bucks would value RJ. They do need offense even if its at or below league efficiency.

I think bucks prefer offense in a return for Brolo so that takes out charlotte and lakers. Maybe they prefer TPE but i'm skeptical atlanta would pay that much for 1 year of brolo. He's not a good fit w/ Trae. Spurs spare parts is also very meh to offer next to giannis. but yea, bucks can definitely look for better options (esp if they are willing to attach assets too). i wouldnt say rj is the best offer or anything, just thought both teams would benefit from said swap

I don't hate the idea for the teams. I'm just not sold on it for Brook. Now maybe Khalil is right and you are offering him 3x the money he can get elsewhere, but I think Lopez is worth a lot more money than he does.

The teams that may want to give him 10M, can't.
We'll see where he lands and for how much, I don't see offers over the TPMLE.

I would've agreed before this last postseason, but he's at the point where the couldn't keep him on the floor against the Pacers.
