Suns/Wizards
The Suns clearly dont want Green ( even though its not coming out that they want to play him next to Booker) and have about 47 SG's
Suns get: Poole/#6
Wizards get: Green
Why Suns: Get a high lottery pick ( Ace Bailey? )
Why Wizards: Get a player that just put up 20/5

Poole is better than Green, no way they add 6 too

Green is not worth anything close to this.

Poole can put up nice counting stats just as much as Green.

I'm not sure that's true, but even if it is, he's not better enough to justify the extra salary. Now the Wizards have no business attaching No. 6 to turn Poole into Green, but this trade kind of sucks for both teams.

So did Poole lmao.
This is debatable if you take the #6 pick out. Otherwise it's just catastrophically bad for Washington.

It doesn't remotely suck for Phoenix who would pull the trigger immediately if given the chance.

This trade is amazing for Phoenix. So much so that if it was offered, I would instantly have a mini-reset around Booker/#6/#10

Except for the fact they'd have like 110% of the cap devoted to SGs (two of whom no other team wants) and they'd be hardcapped at the second apron. That part would definitely suck.

This is also an accurate description of their current position. Getting hard capped at the second apron seems like a relatively small price to pay to get a top 10 pick for basically free.

Yeah I think the Suns are going to get themselves under the 2nd apron anyway. Makes no sense not to. So its not even a pain point. And they already have their payroll commited to duplicative players. But wouldn't it be nice to have a top 6 prospect added to the mix while you sort that out?

The icing on the cake here is that Poole actually makes less $ per year and expires a year earlier than Green.

I thought Poole made more. Yeah, I guess you take No. 6, put Booker on the market, and just start the rebuild now. That would be the rational play.
I do think Green is more tradeable due to age though, so if an immediate rebuild isn't the plan, the Suns get even more stuck here.

The Wizards wouldn't do this even without the pick.

#6 shouldn't be anywhere near this trade. If the Suns insist on receiving something, it should be #18... and even thats too much
investigate Adam Silver

And he's more of a PG than Green. So he's a better fit for the Suns as well.
Feels' like an even trade without the pick as the Suns get the slighlty better (IMO), slightly cheaper, slightly better fit while Washington gets the younger guy.

Beyond terrible for Washington. Green sucks and should have a pick attached to unload

Neither team should be including anything here and if that means the deal doesn't get done, then it just shouldn't get done.

i mean, I agree, but I also think that if one team added the 60th pick, it would be the most valuable piece in this trade by a mile

100%
To me this is the kind of deal where whoever made the phone call first throws in a 2nd to get the deal done but shouldn't include anything more than that.
