BOS trades D. White, #28, future FRP (TOP 3 PROTECTED)
CHA trades Nurkic, #4, #33
BOS is rumored to be looking for a lotto pickt, seems in love with several players in this draft (Kasparas Jakucionis?)
on the other hand, D.White may be the perfect fit next to L.Ball for Charlotte
future pick(s) are there to balance the values in the deal

Re: CHA BOS
Take out the picks coming from Boston and your value is closer, but Boston no longer has any urgency to shed Salary, so I don’t see a trade as likely for White. You’re going to really have to bring it. The Celtics will want a young g player that can play plus draft capital.

Re: CHA BOS
Now this is a win-now trade the Hornets should actually consider. I'd still pass if I were them, but at least it fills needs and helps balance their roster.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Once Tatum will be fully recovered, White (31 now) will be aged, with less value, a sort of today Jrue Holiday
Instead, I considere Jalen Brown still in the "window"

White will be 32,33,34 for the last three years of his contract when Tatum is back. Not a spring chicken but not as old as Jrue either was when we got him (33 and 34).
I get your point though and maybe you are right.
I think White will be really good through the life of his contract though. I guess a trade like this….if you are really high on a guy you think can be as good as White at 4….could make sense.

Thought of both teams, but included Brown and Bridges

Yikes that would be bad for Charlotte. Maybe last season, you do a trade like this when the draft was weak. But I wouldn't give a top 10 pick, let alone a top 5 pick for a 30 year old role player.

Re: CHA BOS
yeah dont go crazy for guys like this. guys like Marcus Smart/Grant Williams/Derrick White aren't the same guys when you take them off Boston and put them on a team like Charlotte. Boston lives on vampirically sucking picks and youth from bad teams pivoting off their overrated role players

Best offer I would make from Charlotte's POV is Bridges and a 2nd. Other than that, kick rocks.

Re: CHA BOS
#4 for Brown feels closer to reality. White is a solid 8 years older than most of our core.
#4, #34, Nurkic, Green, Grant, one future 1st for Jaylen Brown
Then Boston can use one of #28, #32, or #34 to dump Green or Grant into some other team's MLE, and Boston can completely duck the tax.
