That's not a serious counter but taking Cody Martin back and the #28 pick in the draft in exchange for starting C Mark Williams is?

I mean if we ignore that one offer came with an additional first and the other offer came with upgrading Grant Williams to Grayson Allen in order to try and misrepresent the OP....but nobody would do that because it absolutely sucks and is pointless....so lets assume you just made an innocent oversight instead of leaving out value going to your team in order to make it seem worse...

We are allowed to miss on value when we create OP's. All of us brave enough to do it, will miss. Or maybe not even miss, but simply have a lower value than fans of that team. Right, that makes sense to you because its common sense. But miss or not, its earnest. The OP isn't trying to miss.

The counter is trying to miss. Its being mad about the offer in the OP and instead of trying to come back with a realistic counter, its coming back with a silly one to waste everyone's time. That's what we are trying to avoid.

Both extreme counters and replies that leave out some of the value going to our team. Neither move discussion forward productively, wouldn't you agree?

I wasn't trying to miss, a pick in the 10-15 range in this years draft is the price I want and I believe that is totally realistic.

If I can't get that, I would rather keep Mark Williams. I will also tell you that most hornets fans value him more than I do and don't even want to trade him.

Phoenix has exactly nothing interesting to offer us unless it's a much larger package for Devin Booker.

The Suns hang up the phone and find someone better and far,far more dependable.

If you feel Mark Williams can get healthy going forward, then keep him. If you team are still looking to shop him, despite of having no other meaningful center options, be prepared to lower your expectations of what you would be looking for in a Mark Williams trade because no team is paying a high price to get him.

yeah i agree and that's exactly why Charlotte should keep him, no questions asked

hope the "no team is paying a high price" holds when he hits RFA next season

Feels like Mark Williams to PHX would be based on Ryan Dunn. Don't think that can happen until the Suns shed money to get under the 2nd apron and I am thinking they would probably be resistant to it anyway.

Early returns are no. :D And we all got called haters for realizing the market wasn't robust. Nobody will acknowledge we weren't all Lakers propagandists either.

You have to imagine Pelinka is feeling pretty vindicated right now.

Two 1sts for a guy held together by scotch tape?

"1sts"

one of them is pick 29, the other is the worst of 3 teams 4 years from now. The picks suck. Charlotte will spend the rest of this decade chasing centers half as talented as Mark and won't find one. Save this comment.

As a Suns fans I don’t trade one 1st for arguably the most unreliable players in the league from a durability aspect. Already failed a physical once.

thats the rub isn't it.

either Mark's injuries are overstated and Phoenix got a great deal, or Charlotte just offloaded their broken junk.

My gut is that Mark will play enough to reward Phoenix for the trade. You are starting the season with a legit centre.

Richards must be spewing, relegated to the bench to fight with a rookie

I would like to issue a formal apology. You pretty much nailed it and I forgot out dumb our GM is.

I also would've laughed even harder at you had you suggested Micic be in the deal instead of Cody Martin.
