I hate the pick with Jakucionis on the board. The value of the trade is fine, but I hate this pick. I hope I am so, so wrong.

I'm a big fan of WCJ. He has a lot better size and more juice than guys like Tyus Jones.

Reminds me of FVV.

I'm concerned Kaspar is dead, but it's the first move up that didn't feel like an overpay to me, so I guess we've got that going for us in Utah.

We have to rest half of them so we need a second roster

I don't know if the decisions they made when it comes to the prospects were the right ones but the deal itself is fine for both. Utah traded up a couple spots to get the player they coveted without giving up a ton. The Wizards on their part likely felt that there wasn't much of a gap between the two picks and were therefore content to trade down while picking up a couple small assets. If that was the reasoning then that's perfectly acceptable for both.

A 2nd rounder per spot, Aigne always loves simplicity.

I think Washington has quietly been doing real good roster management these last couple years. They’ve got to hit BIGGER on some draft picks, or develop in a way they can figure out who they have as real roster building pieces, but they’re giving themselves a lot of leeway with their trades and adding resources and cap.

They've had some rough lottery luck (getting #2 in a terrible class, dropping the maximum possible amount this year) but they've made smart, savvy moves generally. They've got an interesting core coming together and a lot of cap space next offseason

Guards: Tre, Bub, AJ Johnson

Wings: Riley, Coulibaly, George, Champagnie

Bigs: Sarr

Not complete by any stretch, but the picture is starting to come together

Yup. They can’t control everything (like luck), but what they can control, they're doing pretty good. Eventually things will start working out more to some extent if they keep it up.
